Which car do you think gets the best gas milage?

I am hoping to buy a car before the year ends and with these gas prices I want a good car that is good on gas and I was wondering what you think is the best? I at one time had a jeep cherokee and it seemed to be good. But I was wondering about a small car. Please let me know what you think.

Well, I just bought a Kia Spectra a few months back. It is a nice little car. It has a 5 star safety rating, was not very expensive and has a great warranty. It is supposed to get 34 miles to the gallon but sometimes I think it does a bit better than that. I did an odometer check on a tank of gas and I got to about 420 miles before I had to fill it up again.
