All insects have six legs to walk with. But I think the Praying matis does not use the front legs to walk. Instead it uses them like hands to grab insects for food. If the riddle is not a tricky one my answer could be correct. So my answer is "Praying Mantis".

that is really close, on the right track. You are thinking the way you should. If no one else gets the right answer soon you'll be getting my best response!

How could i miss it!:-)I think josephperera's reply is making sense. I was too thinking on the same line just a bit different as me and my wife sometimes lift our son together, hence making six legs but walking on four. same can be applied to four legged animals lifting a man like horse, camal or elephant.

It's a married couple, and the wife is pregnant with a baby. This is one possible answer, I think.
