I have to agree that this is an excellent way to draw traffic in.

Build a quality blogroll of blogs that you frequently visit. Post comments and add to the conversation at different blogs that interest you. As you do that people will follow your link back and read your blog too. What it comes down to though is the addage: content is king. If you don't have good posts for people to respond to, they won't.

Well here is my website but I am not sure if my content will be king. I usually have 25-45 visitors a day however I have seen people that have more than 1000 visitors. www.usactivedutymilitary.blogspot.com

Oh, I would also recommend adding a profile of some sort and a way for people to contact you. People like to know who they are listening to I think.

Besides search engine submissions and traffic exchanges you could cross-link or exchange links with other blogs and hence improve your visibility. Use the MyLot blog section too to get a little more traffic to your blog. Make sure your blog content is good and the articles entries are what many people will read.

For me one of the best ways is to write an article and submit it to as many free article directories as possible, this not only gets your blog linked from those sites, others may also add your article and link to their sites. If you're interested I have a couple of pages that may be useful to you when it comes to getting traffic etc http://www.squidoo.com/article-writing-marketing/ http://www.squidoo.com/groups/work-online-newcomers You can also submit the rss feed of your blog to the many blog directories as well as search engines etc
