Do you mind if people bring their children with them to nice restaurants?

What are your thoughts? I think it's OK if children are mature enough to sit through an adult dinner and want to be included. I also don't mind it when people bring very small, sleeping babies in carseats. My kids were colicky babies, so we avoided restaurants, and even now usually stick to family ones.

I personally dont care but I would not take children who dont know how to behave. I went to pizza hut with my brother in law and his family few weeks ago. His 2 years old daughter, 10 years old daughter and her 2 years old were screaming because she didnt get the toy she wasnted by the entrance. I was very embarrased to sit with them. It very distracting to people eating at the rstaurant too. She walk around, run around, almsot climb up on the table and if she was my daughter, she would get spanking right there and I will cancel the order and leave.

No i dont think there is any problem if nayone wud get their kids to a public place...infact its very nice to see some kids around who make some mischievious acts and they have the leverage of doing it as they r kids and so innocent that they dont mean anything wat they do....and we shud try to take it in our stride as we might be in the same situation in future....

I don't mind people bringing their kids to a restaurant unless they are running around and yelling!!! I don't care if it's a nice restaurant or not it's just so annoying trying to eat and talk among whoever your with when kids are screaming and not listening to their parents! My sisters kids are those kind of annoying kids..that you just want to grab and tell them to shut up...she does not disipline her kids at all...and it iritates me so much...I can't critisize her or tell her anything she will take it too serious but her kids are totally OUT OF CONTROL!!! They destroy everything!

If the children are well behaved and the parents in control then I do not have a problem with it. If the kids are acting up and the parents not handling it then I don't care if it's a fancy restaurant or the golden arches - I don't like it.
With our son, we have taken him to restaurants since he was very small. Once when he was a baby and started crying and couldn't be consoled we changed our food order to "to go" and left. Seemed the right thing to do.
