I agree with Margmats, Do you like him enough to be with him. I use to deney my ex boyfriend and in the end I realized I didn't like him in the way I thought I did. If you like him then don't deney him. Because he is hurting deep inside.

why you should deny him, he is your boyfriend right? You should tell the truth to other people about your relationship,if he didn't understand then you should talk to him and make him really understand. It seems you are pretty confused yourself about the relationship with your x best friend, because when we are clear in our emotions then there is no question of denial, may be your bf does understand and you are just assuming that he does'nt.

yes some guys are like that..they say it's okay when it's really not..so i think that you should stop denying about him..besides there's nothing to be ashamed of your relationship because you love him for sure and that's why you agreed to be his girl..so there's really no sense in denying..you're only hurting him you know..show him how much you love him by being proud of him!!that's what love is all about!
