This is a twist of that saying, so many books so little time...and if your a bibliophile..a lover of books you'll know what I mean...But do you find the same is true about websites? I only learned computers about four years ago..it really opened a whole new world for me..alas, maybe too much..I get frustrated since I have so many interests and so many website "haunts" that I love to visit but not enough time to go to them all the way I would like...You see my lists of bookmarks...It's enough to fill an encyclopedia--so do you get frustrated too, and do you wish you had more time to browse about your favorite sites

Oh girl! You should see how many bookmarks I have!!! LOL And here I thought having books in reserve for my next read was bad...I have bookmarks galore too. My partner has gotten upset at me many of times saying that I bookmark too much and I don't even go back to all of them. LOL And he is right, I don't always get to go back to those sites because I just don't have time! But then, one time, he went through my bookmarks and started cleaning it up saying it was taking too much memory. What? You have got to be kidding me!!! I informed him that it only took 1k to store that little web address!!!! But he stated that he didn't realize that and the damage was done. :( Some bookmarked will forever be lost...because there is just too much out there to pin point the exact website again. So, yes...I agree! So many websites...and so little time. hehehehe

ha ha No, that wouldn't be a good idea since his bookmarks are the websites that link him to pay bills online. LOL If I did that, he would be totally upset!!! LOL

I have had to delete a lot of my bookmarks lately, I just don't have the time to go to all the sites I have marked. I used to spend hours surfing but these days I have my favourites and that is enough for me. If I need to go hunting then I can but I have to be realistic, there are only so many hours in a day :-)

Don't you wish there were at least 60 hours in a day?

I agree. With everything at your fingertips it is easy to become overwhelmed with web sites. I had hundreds in my favorites list and don't have time to visit but a few. I do like to read books also and my list of wanna-reads grows longer every year. It is so easy to discover new things and expand you interest by visiting new web sites. I don't know what the answer is to keep it under control other than to have only a few real good interests.

Hi, I do wish I had more time for mylot as I love this site with all it's discussions. I do browse different website now and again and like you bookmark them for further reading, but never get round to it. Maybe one day when I'm bored I will. Brightest Blessings.

Actually, I don't think so. I do agree that there are many websites. However, there are only that many interesting ones that fit into your interests. Even if you look at it like books - I do love reading books and there is always a book with me. However, sometimes, even though I have the time, I don't "feel" like reading. Same thing. :P

i was just thinking this the other day LOL i'm constantly reading this and that online. there's such a wealth of different information online now you can practically look up anything and find something on what you're looking for. i sure wish the net was around when i had to do book reports for school..our local library was useless.

Computers weren't even around when I was in school back in the Revolutionary War days..hehe...Kids don't realize how lucky they've got it..then don't have to spend hours and hours doing research by going to a library and reading tons of books...just type in the subject in a search engine and bingo..you got all the research in minutes! Even I took advantage of the computer...was doing a short story with the Civil War as the background...I have TONS of my own books on the subject...just didn't feel like reading through everything so did a search on the computer and had all the info I needn't bingo and pronto

I feel the same way. I do a lot of surfing and it just seems like there's SO much good info out there! It can become mind-boggling at times, though. And yes, my bookmarks are a mile long! But I LOVE the internet, and how you can find out pretty much anything you want nowadays. When my kids have a question about ANYthing that I'm not sure of the answer to, we're pretty soon surfing the net to find it....

Acutally I don't visit many sites. I do wish I had more time on here sometimes though and sometimes on myspace too. I don't do too much searching on the internet though partly because I don't have the time. Maybe that's why LOL

The old saying applies too well to the web. My books pile up and so do my bookmarks. I'm a big reader of blogs on a variety of topics, so I subscribe to most of them, which saves a lot of time, but I'm never caught up on my regular surfing and reading. I have a bookmark folder for sites that I'm not sure I'll want to come back to regularly, and they stay there til I check them out and can move them to more appropriate folders, or delete them. But somehow the temp folder keeps getting fatter and fatter, and I keep falling further behind. And when you think about it, even the most addicted internet users see only a tiny fraction of what's available. I'm always wondering what wonderful things are out there that I may never come across.

LOL - your bookmarks sound like mine. I actually started making files to sort them out but still as you say do not seem to find time to visit many of them. There is no doubt if I could I would be surfing 24/7, if only I didn't have to sleep now and then, oh opps sometimes I don't sleep.

With all that I'm involved with I wish I could get by without sleep---and that's just my "regular" work in front of a computer never mind all those websites I've bookmarked to get back to when and if I have the time

I am not much of a browser. I get on the net do my mail and go to a couuple of other sites and thats it. I hate to shop so I'm not much of a browser. If I have time after I get my mail and other sites done, then I am off to read...lol
