How to promote a website?

website promotion - promote a website is more difficult than you think!

I have a website for someting, but I found it was hard to attract some traffic in the past three monthes. I feel it is very difficult to promote one website when the websites become more and more.

Make sure to take advantage of link exchanges and putting your url in comments you make on relevant blogs and in forums. That goes a long way toward getting people's attention. Then, look at your domain name. See if you can make it something that people are most likely to type in a search engine when looking for what you are offering. Once you do those things, start your own blog that relates to your website and other websites that are complementary but not in direct competition with what you are offering. Hope these ideas help you out!

I think you can go to the relevent forum to promote!For example, you can put your site into the signature column,or purchase others'signature column!

the best way, IMO is exchange your link with other and always update your web and post quality posting :)
