I scolded my one year old baby because he attempt to bite the hands of his cousin. At his age he manage to understand me and he cried out loud. I hug him and kiss him tenderly and try to calm him from crying.Oh!How great was a mother's love for his child.

That's all very well, but if you scold him one minute and hug and kiss him when he cries because of it, the next, then he will never know right from wrong and will be continually seeking attention by doing bad things.
If you scold, you have to make sure they understand that you mean what you say. Hugging and kissing them when they cry will only make a rod for your own back, as they grow. Children test you... yes, even at that age... to see how far they can go without you chastising them. Biting is bad, and you need to stop it before he gets old enough to go to kindergarten or school, or mix with other children, anywhere. If you don't, you are going to find angry mothers on your doorstep, I'm afraid.
Brightest Blessings.

Thanks for you post Darkwing. Being a mother to my first baby I need have to understand what are the do's and dont's of raising a child. Thanks for giving me some bright ideas that would help in disciplining my child.Being a responsible parent and molding him to be a better citiizen is what i always hoped for. I may not be a perfect mother in raising him to be a better person but i have to do my best so that he would grew into a better person and a GOD fearing one. Honestly, it not that easy to be a mother but i know i can get through with this. Thanks again it really overwhelm me much. Good day.

Your son looks adorable. It is best if you let him cry while you explain to him why biting is wrong. If you scold him and then cuddle him as soon as he cries he might think that the next time you get angry he'll just cry to make you stop. It is not too early to make him understand that he needs to listen when you talk and when he does dell you something you should listen too.
