how many best responses have you achieved??

i got 9 best responses..and i'm happy to have that!!it's really hard achieving the best response..so we should try to comment on discussions as much as we can..the more we respond ,the better the possibility of having a BR..and we should also consider stating our point of views in discussions as clearly as we can and give sensible answers to questions that some users give.. i hope that you'll have more BR's to come.. god bless and good day!

I counted once and it was about 5 or 10% of my total responses (I think). I can't remember. But it seems that the figure might not be accurate. Once you get more, it is hard to count the best responses. It is either a glitch or a glitch (lol). Some discussions repeat themselves and it is quite hard to count exactly how many you have got. Anyway I lost "interest" counting. It happens when you hang along long enough here and nothing feels worthwhile anymore lol. :P Don't feel bad though when I say I definitely have more best responses than you. This is because I posted many more responses. Look instead at the %. If you have gotten 3, it is about 1%. Work harder so that you will hit 2% and so on, if you so desire. But that said, this is not really the best indication of how quality your responses are. There are many reasons why an answer was chosen as the best response. You may just have fun with this but don't take it too hard.

I disagree with darlinggirl above based on those tips she provided. The only one I agree with is the one stating that your response has to be interesting. Some people also like responses that agree with their view/opinion.

so sad, i never have the "best response". maybe i'm not good in giving opinion to others.

i have achieved i think about 12 best responses uptil now. i think that i am quiet good at responding to discussions in mylot.

I have about 257 best responses so far. I try to give as good a response as I know how to give for each discussion that I post to. If it is not something that I am really interested in, I usually move on to a discussion that interests me. Being interested in what you are writing about I believe, is key to getting best response. I just reached 100 best responses earlier today (and have actually added a couple more since then). I don't reply to discussions hoping to get the best response. I just answer honestly and in as much detail as I can. If I get the BR, that great, if not then it's no big deal.

Interesting discussion. I have approximately 220 best responses. I respond to discussions that I can contribute to with my own opinion some of these are along the lines of the same opinion as the discussion starter and some aren't. I have been awarded best response even when my opinion has differed from that of the thread starter. I just always remember to be myself and to answer as truthfully as possible. I give as much detailed information as I have and sometimes provide links when necessary. Some best responses are because I was the only one that responded to a topic and others have been awarded after 70, 80 and even after over a 100 responses. The ones that have the most responses that I was awarded the best really mean a lot to me. Especially when so many great responses were given in a thread. It's really nice to know that out of all the responses mine was considered the best from many. The only thing that I can say is to always be yourself and give detailed responses. I'm not afraid to give lengthly response to get my point across. :) In answer to your question I think that I do pretty good with getting a fair amount of best responses. However my responses are never given in hopes of the best response award. I just say what's on my mind for that particular discussion. Always diplomatically. Hope that helps! :)

Hi Kc! Actually I haven't counted them~~lol but I'm always happy when I get a BR especially if it was picked among many responses. And most of the times, the responses I have made that time, were not even my best one. I mean I never thought I would have got a BR from it. So just enjoy and as long as you have friends who love your responses, is like having a BR every time. Have a nice day! (^^,)

I've been here over a month and I have garnered quite a bit of best responses. I'm so honored when one of my responses is chosen, whether there were a hundred responses to that discussion or only two, I'm still very flattered. I try to pick best responses too for all the discussions I begin, or, at the very least, rate everyone who participates.

Hi kclaret.I have got only one best response in my 95 posts.In most of the discussions people don't give best response itself.But im glad that i got one. I can tell you what i do for getting best response. 1)First read the question thoroughly 2)Decide what you are going to respond. 3)Make sure your reply is informative and up to the point. 5)It is always better to list out in points what you want to say.(Just like how im doing now)People will feel easy to read the response. 6)Make sure your grammar is good or at least understandable.Without understanding anything the user cannot give best response. 7)Always give an encouraging finish to your post. its true get a best response cus many ppl reply do da topic its ta physical barrier in communication.. it occures due to difference in opinion and thaughts a ideal responce according to me is in my favour lol....

The last time I checked, I had 6 "best responses".

I have about 50. I think it all depends on how good you respond and how often you respond to the person who started the discussion. You might try and respond more to your friends as I give and receive best responses to friends. Also, check out "discussions with no responses." View some older ones and respond. That might help get more best responses, especially if you are the only response.

I have around 100 right now. I hadn't checked in a couple of days and so it was nice to see that I've been given 4 more since I last checked them. I don't bother too much with how many BR's I have. It's nice to see that someone valued my response of course, but BR isn't a huge issue for me. I'm still going to post regardless of whether I get BR or not, and I don't respond to a post with the hope of getting BR for my answer. I find that too many members tend to place too much emphasis on BR and star ratings - it's a popularity contest and I don't go in for all that. I'm happy just posting on Mylot regardless of what may come from it.

as of date (o5.18.2007) i got 29 BRs. i would say that it's not too bad at all. i wasn't thinking that i would be getting enough BR's, all i wanted was to share my ideas or opinions in the best i can regarding the different topics posted here. i focused on topics related to my interests and in case my answers needed further details or explanations i often used linkages to substantiate my responses.

It is a pity but I have only 3 best responses. I don't know why. I think that my English is quite good and I write interesting people. But there is something else. I've always try to say what I think and others mark best responses only for responses that are near to their own way of thinking. I have very different point of view from the tohers and maybe this is why they don't like me so much. However, I prefer not having so many best resonses but telling directly to the others what I think.
