I sleep around 6 hours on a "good" night and 2/3 on a "bad" night.
I learned long ago never to worry about how many hours I sleep each night and don't tend to believe when others tell me that I need more sleep. If I do believe I feel tired, then I do so I just go by what I feel. I always get up if I am obviously not going to get back to sleep.

I also sleep for 4-6 hours. The more I sleep it cause back pain for me too. On weekends I sleep maximum for 8 hours and that seams alot for me. I know many people sleeping for almost 10-12 hours but I always think about them that how can they sleep so much.
I know some friends of mine who if got a chance to sleep for 15-30 minutes, they won't hesitate because they love sleeping alot.

I would love to be able to sleep for 8-10 hours each night but that hardly ever happens. I do mostly get at least 7 hours but I wake up alot and it is hard to get back to sleep, so sometimes I end up only get 6 hours sleep. I think I need a new mattress because my back will hurt if I sleep too long.

I try for 8 but generally get between 5 and7 depending on whether my grandson is at achool, or ifmy grandd aughter sleeps through the night. Saying that, I have to get to bed now so I can get to work in the morning. Oh, and on most days that I don't get at least 7 hours sleep, I tend to take a nap before dinner.

last year when i was still studying in high school i would only sleep 3 hours per day during my exams.this is because i needed more time to study for the exams.so i tend to skip my sleeping time.i know this is not good for health.but i have to scarifice the sleeping time to get a good result.
sometimes i felt so tired but still i hold on to it and do not let myself fell asleep.so i would drink 2 cups of coffee per day.so that i did not get sleepy while studying.but in the next day sometimes i would feel very dizzy and tired since didn't get enough sleep.sometimes i just felt like in a dream and did not know what was happening around me.
but once i finished my exams i would sleep for the whole day.this is the time to regain back the sleeping time i sacrificed before.so after finished school i would sleep 10-12 hours per day.this is because i started working at evening till night.so in the morning i can use the time to sleep very long.
but usually people should sleep 6-8 hours per day.over sleep also not good sometimes.because it will make you feel more tired.so the best i think is 6 hours.i think you suffer back pain because of your body posture during sleep time.

Between 6 and 7 hours from going to bed and getting up.
Now that is time in bed - not all sleep. I get up 3 or 4 times during the night for a wee and sometimes my dog gives me a kick during her dream and wakes me. And sometimes my wife wakes me somehow or other.
So the bottom line is that I maybe get an hours sleep at a time uninterrupted.

i have 2 jobs and my schedules on both are from 7am - 11pm. travel time to and from the office is about an hour so im usually off to work around 6am and will return home around 12 midnight. i sleep around before 1am and wake up before 6am, so yeah, i sleep for around 5 hours a day. im cool with it, don't have any problems with my health today, but i don't know, i don't have plans to go to the doctor for a check up.

I usually get about 7 hours total. I get up during the night because my husband works nights and when he gets home, I get up and get him something to eat. Then I go back to bed, then I get up a couple hours later with my son. When he goes to school I lay back down for an hour. Then I get up and start my day.
