To all fellow myLoters up here,; How do I fare in my discussions ?

I am not a native speaker of the English language nor had I learned English from my primary school classes. It has been my second language ever since I entered middle school.I think a lot of extra reading and watching English movies in my earlier days helped me in achieving control over the language though I have not gained mastery over it.Do I make my points clear and the ordering of facts proper?MyLot is a great forum; I love to be here with you all lovely people . Thanks.

Yes you do make your points clear, Sukumar, and your command of the English language is pretty good. I learned German at school but it was all about getting up in the morning, cleaning teeth, washing, having breakfast, going to school etc etc. When I was 22 years old, I went to live in Germany for three years, and I learned everyday German from the local baker, and from watching films with subtitles on German television lol. I'm not so sure that my German is as good as your English though. Brightest Blessings.

definately an understandable standard, there are a few spelling errors but nothing that majorly disrupts the flow of the sentence. Your better than me because i don't know any foreign languages at all, so my hat goes off to you

Thanks. The spellings mistakes are not purposeful .. just crept into because of hasty typing.

Hi sukumar, from what I've read so far, I can understand you just fine. In fact, I believe that you have excellent command of the language considering that it is not your native tongue. English is also a second language for me and I can only wish that I'm half as good as you in expressing myself in this language. Sometimes I draw a blank as to what to write because I run out of words due to my very limited vocabulary. But I do try to read a lot to overcome this weakness. I hope I become as good as you in English one day soon! *grin*

I think you do a wonderful job. I wish I could speak and write another language as well as you do. I find many of your discussions to be very philosophical and deep. Sometimes almost too deep for my mood, but they are always interesting and well presented.

Thank you so much. Oh ! Am I becoming too philosophical in my out look. Maybe it is due to my present state of mind. I 'll try to avert it in future. Good luck.

Hi Sukumar, you're doing great with the English language, even better than me sometimes, and English is my only language. I can't imagine trying to learn your language, and then try to communicate by writing it. It would take me years, if I could do it at all. I never have trouble understanding you,and I enjoy your posts.

Dear sukumar794 You are just fine with your English language.. all u need to do is just work with your discussions .. fill the quality inside your discussions .. something which everyone wants and make it something like everyone gets attracted to it -- just make it very simple with easy and understandable language because there are many mylottians who don't know good english .. but still improving here day by day:)
