I don't know a whole lot about it, but I think that if it can find a cure for MS and Parkinsons and things like that then its a good thing. People have suffered a long time with those diseases.

yesYesYES! I am so for stem cell research--sadly, that was the reason I voted for Kerry in the last presidential election! I am SO glad I live in a state (NJ) where stem cell research is being funded (a new research lab is being constructed in north NJ) but what really gives me hope is the research that won the Nobel Prize in 2006--something about genes and somehow they can cure anything? It's in the latest Readers Digest; I've just misplaced it in my cleaning. Oh, and the reason I support it--I have MS and plan to be cured of this dratted disease!

I think that as long as they monitor and have stiff regulations on it so that it doesn't get into the wrong hands, it is great. My son has CP and there are so many things that it could help or cure.

I also have MS so yes, I think that anything that can find a cure for debilitating but not deadly illnesses is a good thing.
Lets face it debilitating illnesses don't get the same research money that deadly illnesses get because they don't kill. Sorry that was my own rant!
