rescue groups

Does anyone know any good rescue groups for german shepards? I am looking to adopt and I would like to go to a pound or rescue group if possible, but they are BIG dogs and I dont want a terror, and rescue groups are usually best at making sure the dogs are at least sociable, i have kids in the home. I live in Southern CAli but am willing to do almost anyplace in CA or NV or even AZ.

Hey, first off I think its wonderful that you want to adopt from a rescue group. I work for a rescue group in NC, so i'm all about people saving an animals life. Anyways I looked up some rescue groups and found several in California. Go to this website: www.justshepards.com/gsdrescue.htm and scroll down and find the CA ones.
