I enjoy playing card games with my daughter. We like to play rummy, Uno, Phase 10 and even Go Fish, Ha! Ha! We both are pretty competitive. We play the games to have fun and spend time together but we like to win too, Ha! Ha!

My children are on the younger side. We often play Go Fish, Old Maid, and Crazy Eights. I just recently taught them to play Uno and War. We all enjoy card games. My daughter will get upset when she hasn't won a game for a while. That is normally when we put the cards up. She is getting better about it though. Card games are a very good way to teach your children to match as well as teaching them their numbers.

That is very true. How old are your children? My daughter is 20 and my son is 14. Stuart doesn't care much for card games, he takes after my husband, Ha! Ha! But Amanda and I really enjoy them.

Oh, my dad's side of the family loves card games. My sister and parents do as well. I only like Uno. Of course, earlier in my life I really liked Go Fish. To be honest, I still like it. : ) But when it comes to Phase 10, my parents had to agree not to play it. They got so upset every time they played, that is was actually making them angry at each other. Which is out of character because normally they act like honeymooners. : ) My dad would interpret one particular rule in Phase 10 a different way than it was meant, and my mom called him on it. LOL

Uh oh! I bet that did get to be a problem! Amanda and I don't play Phase 10 as much as Uno but we enjoy both games. To me, though, Phase 10 is a little bit harder because just when you think you have the phase something happens to throw a monkey wrench in.:)

I usually try playing Phase 10 with my Dad when I visit with my parents. Which to come to think about it, we haven't done lately. He has empysema, and hasn't been up to playing lately. But at any rate, he throws out the skip cards and we don't play with them. I win more times than not. I enjoy playing euchre too, but haven't played it in a while. And I have played Uno recently on the CSU (Crisis Stabilization Unit) where kids stay 7-10 days to keep them from being admitted to the hospital. (This is my PRN job that I do.

I have to say yes I do enjoy card games and I always have. When I was younger I use to play with my friends or brother and sisiter. We use to play Old Maid, Jacks, Uno, Switchem, and other ones I can't really remember their names. We even made up our own. Now I play Snap with my four year old, which isn't that competitive to, me more lots of fun. My husband and I occasionally still play cribbage, I have always loved that. I think playing card games is good fun as you talk and enjoy the others company while playing some really fun games. It is a good thing to get kids away from the television! Board games I love to. I play Snakes and Ladders and trouble.

To play cribbage you have a pack of cards and a cribbage board, which is a wooden board with two rows of double holes in which you move your pegs depending on your score. You get dealt 5 cards each and two are dealt in the middle. You each have to throw one out and put in the pile of two cards dealt in the middle. The card deck is cut and a card turned up on top, this card is can now be used to add to both your hands. You get 2 points for each time your hand can make 15, 2 point for a pair, for a run ie 6,7,8 would equal 3 points or 5,6,7,8 you would get four points. So if you had this as your hand the score would be the following- 7 hearts, 8 clubs, 5 hearts, queen hearts, and the card turned up in the middle is a 3 clubs. You would get 2 points for the 8 and 7 ( makes 15) two points for the 3 and 7 and 5 ( makes 15) two points for the 5 and queen ( makes 15 ) So you would move your peg six holes. I forgot before this you each put down a card in turn and you earn points if they put down a card and you put down one and it adds up to 15 or it is a pair and vice a versa. the cards that are in the middle ( the teo dealt there and one each of your cards) is called the crib and this is an extra hand that whoever deals gets to have has a hand after their own to score agian with. I don't know if I described it very well it isn't as complicated as I make it sound. There is another version that uses six cards I found a link that will describe it better. http://www.pagat.com/adders/crib6.html

That sounds like fun. I'll check out that link too and get some information about it. We are going on vacation in June so Amanda and I will have some extra time to play. :)

I sure wish my husband enjoyed playing cards but he doesn't. So if I play any it is with my daughter. My son doesn't seem to care for them much either although sometimes he will watch Amanda and me. How do you play cribbage? I have heard of that game but never played it before.

Yes, I like to play Uno and Go Fish with the kids. I also like to play online games at yahoo, like Hearts and Gin. I was pretty good at Gin, but haven't played in awhile, i'll have to go give it a shot! Solitare is pretty good but I only do it online because I mess up the cards alot!

As a family we played many different card games, either at home but more often when we were camping. But now us kids have left home, you can imagine we don't play together anymore. I still love the playing though and try to get my husband to play. My favourites are Rummy, Black Jack, Sevens and Donkey!

I love Rummy. My stepmother taught my brother and I when we were kids (we used to fall asleep at the table playing) and when we were older we'd play with my Grandpa (he's passed away now) his wife (my grandma) still plays and we all get together and play on a regular basis. I also played Uno, Go Fish and Old Maid as a kid. LIVE IN PEACE

My family loves to play cards. My personal favorite is phase 10. For some reason, I love that game. Have you ever played uno attack. That is lots of fun. How about skipo, my grandma loves that game. When she comes over she wants to play skipo over and over. lol

My husband and I love to play No limit Texas hold 'em. We get so competitive too. Even when we are playing with our friends. We will play against each other. I have even taken him out in front of his friends. The funniest time was I was big blind and he was small blind I had 5, 3 and he had a pair of 3's in his hand. The flop came out 5, 5, 3 and I raised and someone called and he raised and re-raised him and I looked at him and told him baby I got you beat he said all in so I called him and I took him out. The rest of the night his friends and everyone else was referring to me as stupid's wife. It was really funny but it was fun.

weel it seems you are like playing card game. i'm usually playing solitaire and free cell in computer game. i'm playing that game because it so easy to play and not bad to adding skill. but i'm more like playing mahjong game in computer. it is more complicated but more fun game. you may try it and enjoy, also find the fun. basically playing both game is very fun and can get enjoy when spend unwork time.
