Yes College should be mandatory because if you do not go to College it will be very hard for you to come across a good Job.You will get a minimum wage.you need to get a master degree or higher not an associate or an bachelor's degree. In ordr to work in the real corped business world.

i dont think college should be mandatory because if everybody reaches out to that level...then we would have no plumbers,no electricians,no gardeners,no rickshaw pullers and so...onnnn! if everybody does college ,no body will be ready for all such work which is looked down upon in india especially..though these people are of immense importance. education is a must for everybody..i dont deny but education upto college level would be too much..because the poor sections of the society dont realise the importance of education..even if the government provides them the means. the need of the hour is to make them realise its importance rather than forcing them to study by making it mandatory. a minimum level of education like upto 8th or 10th standard would work well so that such people can take their decisions on their own and are not carried away by people easily.

This is why there is technical college for people who want to be plumbers or electricians. Even though some people dislike education, they will soon realize out in the real world that they aren't making as much money as they could with a college degree. That's why you have a lot of middle-aged people going back to college.

I think it should be mandatory in the sense that if not these are the people who will be taking care of you when you are old and I know I do not want the kid who flips burgers at mcdonalds helping me. I feel there is always smething to learn and I plan to get as much school in as possible. True it is expensive, but My daughter is a year old and we have already started a college fund. She will go to college.

I don't think it should be. Some people just aren't great in classrooms, and forcing them to go to college and PAY for something they know they aren't going to do well in is just pointless. That's just silly talk. And secondly, a lot of the jobs that make places work, wouldn't be available if everyone had a college degree. We wouldn't have restaurants with servers, we wouldn't have fast food, car repair shops, a lot of the places you use daily wouldn't be available. And, with such high paying jobs, our economy would suck. There are so many bad things about everyone having a college degree.

I don't think it should be. What about the people who can't afford to send their kids to college how is that fair to those kids? With alot of jobs you learn more with hands on training anyway.

I think college should be mandatory. Better yet it should be pushed by the government. Though some parents really cannot afford to send their children to college, it should be somewhat a joined effort. Poverty is not a reason for us not to get quality education. I do hope that the government puts more effort on reconstructing a good module for public schools and colleges instead of building infrastructures that cost millions of pesos.

While college is necessary for the youth, not everyone is thrilled with the idea. So yes, I agree with you. If parents can't push their sons and daughters to attend college, then the government should. It should be college or sweep the streets - or is that too cruel?

In my opinion it should be as well, even if you don't have to take the highest level of education I'd say that at least doing some form of education to 21 is something which definitely should not be avoided.
