I have had so many jobs in my lifetime I can not even count them now. I have worked at McDonalds twice. Once when I was 22 and here recently at 40. I have worked at practically every burger joint known to man kind including Burger King and Jacks. I have worked as a waitress, bartender, line worker, sales representative, insurance customer representative, assembly line worker, and the list goes on and on. Now I am working at home at an online job.
How many jobs have you had during you life and what were they?

Hi,
Well here we go...I did lawn care and snow removal around the nieghborhood (sp?) I grew up in until I was 18(ish). Since I was 13 I have officated baseball & ice hockey. During high school I was a reporter for a weekly newspaper, worked as a busboy in a resturant, & farm hand/heavy equipment operator. During college (the first time around) I drove a zamboni at a local hockey rink, worked in a book factory/printing operation, & drove a forklift in a warehouse. After graduating college: bank accountant/bookkeeper, computer operator, computer programmer. I worked for IBM for almost 20 years and was laid off. My "new" career is in the medical field. In the past 4 years I have done the following: emergency medical dispatcher, EMT/Emergency Room tech. I am currently working on my degree to become an RN.

I started working at the age of 12 babysitting then at the age of 14 I was a hostess of a restaurat then promoted to waitress. In the slow period I would pump gas, waitress and take reversations for the motel that was attached. I also cleaned rooms at two of the other motels. I grew up in El Portal which is at the gates of Yosemite National Park.
I then worked for Jack in the Box. Had children and was a mother, house wife and student for 9 years. In 1986 I went to work at a local hospital where I started as an CNA while is school to become an LVN or LPN. I then continued to work at the hospital and went back to school to become an RN. I then became a registered sleep tech and a sleep lab supervisor. I became disabled while working as the sleep lab supervisor. I had 20 years at the same hospital. I would be working today if I could.

Oh, my God! I can definitely relate to what you are saying. Starting at the age of 19, all the jobs I've mainly worked were Administrative Assistant jobs. I went through this pattern of being temp-to-perm on jobs, released from temp jobs, hired on jobs, fired on jobs, and laidoff with severance pay. I worked for St. Louis, Zoo; Southwestern Bell; Blue Cross and Blue Shield; Praxair; St. Louis Housing Authority; Community Care Plus and Bank of America, etc.
Now at 40 years old, I work full-time at an insurance company doing clerical work. I am not happy at my job. So, if I'm not happy at the job, I had to start thinking about what is it I really want to do as far as a career that is rewarding and pays well. I've always wanted to start my own business. Recently, I signed up with a biz opporutnity called Pre-Paid Legal. Hopefully, I do well with this business so I can leave my insurance job.

i think i have 3 jobs before i landed in my new job now. before i was a production worker in a manufacturing after being a regular employee for more than a year i decided to quit to go back to school and went college. i was too young then and i didnt realized yet how important work was. unluckily i stop college due to financial problem. after a year of being jobless i was offered by my cousin to work for her as her secretary in her law firm. everything went smooth when i worked there but after 4 years i realized i needed to find a job that has a better salary. i resigned from that job and applied for work abroad, but i think its not for me coz i wasnt accepted. until i become a sales agent but didnt last long coz i didnt like the job.i guess selling is not for me. and now one of my cousin again manage an internet cafe i was offered by her to work so now i am an internet cafe attendant. as of now i love the job i cant say if i will stay longer here coz i still dont know whats at stake in the future. what i like about this job is i was free of using the internet and started to have sideline here in the net like mylot. i just hope i will like it here longer and hope to last here. its not that big cafe but me and my cousin is trying very hard to work this out and be successful. well thats all i can say about my job experience. if theres one thing i learned from all of them that is learn to love and enjoy the job you have, value what u have and take good care of it.
thanks and more power you tyou Serina, hope you enjoy your stay here in mylot.

After i graduated from the university i've been to two jobs in the last 3 years of my life both in private and governmnet sector. My first employment was as a research assistant to biodiversity conservation project in the philippines funded by the the government of the Netherlands. After the project was completed, i worked in a government agency as a marine biologist (2 years only). While i was studying, i've been volunteering in non-profit organizations and also had part-time data collection jobs.
I've quit my day job for about 5 months already and got into this online job. I might go back to regular jobs one of these days but as of the moment I am enjoying some extra hours of sleep and lots of free time for my self and some things i wanna do which i didn't have the pleasure of doing while working 8am-5pm daily

When I first left school all I wanted to do was to work with animals and get into farming or something. I looked at being a vet and being lazy, didn't fancy all the training - I'd had enough of school. Against my parent's wishes, I went to agricultural college. Although we lived on a small farm (that was non-working), my father kept saying that farming would mean a life of hard work for little return and eventually talked me out of it, so I gave up on that idea.
I then turned to my music (I was a trained pianist since 4 years old) and so I started working as a jazz musician in nightclubs. In between club jobs, I've had many day-jobs. I worked as a salesman in a men's clothing store, a salesman selling cakes, I worked in a factory for a while which I found incredibly boring due to repetitive work and then I worked in a warehouse all jobs were for short periods. I then started a small entertainment band (myself, drummer, singer etc) and we worked all over the UK and in Spain and for 12 years that was all I did. Then musicians were being replaced by disco and karioke so I went back to college to study psychology and became a therapist which I have done ever since.
I am now slowing down a little with seeing clients and looking how I can earn money on line whilst helping and advising others. I feel this is work I was "meant" to do because it's a great feeling to know someone can benefit from what you advise them to do..
