Did you know that diabetics sometimes have to have some toe nails removed due to infections that will not heal?
Well, I wouldn't want to go that far because I seem to like my feet and the pretty polish I paint on my toe nails. :)
But if you truly do not want to cut them...you can have them removed.
Not going to be as pretty...but it is possible.
Or hey! You don't want to cut them anymore...maybe you can be like that lady that never cut her toe nails and put her in 2nd place for the world's longest toe nails! ha ha

I bet that you would never let that happen to you because you love your feet and toe nails too much!! :)
Uhh...both of your two choices you don't have to cut them anymore! :DD
The second one is pretty funny! Maybe she could be is 1st place!

Yup! Serious!
My partner's mother is diabetic and she just had her two big toe nails removed because she had an infection that would not heal.
Hence...I am controlling my sugar level by restricting what I eat and don't it! :)

ROFL... I hear where you're coming from. I hate cutting my toenails to, but it has to be done, I'm afraid, or we'd be walking around like bears, with long claws. Could come in handy though, for climbing trees and telegraph poles, if that floats your boat! ha ha ha
Think of the nail polish you'd need too! OMG it doesn't bear thinking about. Nope, no way to stop em, so you'll have to decide whether it's barefoot and tree-climbing or cut and polish, to look feminine and quaint! :-)
Brightest Blessings my friend, and thanks for the laugh! he he

It would probably hurt at first but then I guess you'd become accustomed to it. You'd have to get the file out and sharpen them to a point though, unless you could find a rough rock nearby! lol. I can just imagine you sitting in the top of a tree, looking over the World around you. lol
Thanks again for this discussion. It was fun. Brightest Blessings my friend.

No thank YOU for the laugh, haha, that's funny you had me laughing a good 5 minutes here!!!

Hmm a way to stop toe nails from growing such that one would never have to cut them agin...not that I know of but that would certainly be very useful indeed! Till then do trim your nails often, lest your toenails become ingrown, then that would be very very painful.

yes that would be of some of the worst pain ever haha. I deal with that sometimes. :P

Oh toe nails are a nightmare to cut, I usually cut mine too short and they end up hurting or looking silly with nail varnish on. To be honest in the winter I don't bother about them too much as no one sees them, but during the summer I do like them to look nice when you're wearing sandals all the time.

yeah i know what you mean, i don't put polish on them much because i always end up picking it off, or making it look real bad because i love LOVE squishing my feet in the mud haha.
And i love my toe nails if their cut right and all that, they look cute. hahaha....
Oh boy...

I really hate cutting my toenails. They grow really quick and are really hard. I shudder everytime I cut them because I really don't like the way the nail clippers almost vibrate with each snip. My wife often jokes (well, I think it's a joke) that I need to get the angle grinder on them, thats who hard they are. I joke back (really!) that it's the only way I can keep her off me!!!

I don't have that kind of problem about my toenails because I go to the beauty parlor every week for pedicure. . they really do a great job, you know. So Ms. SpitFire, you let a professional do your toenails, do not take it upon yourself, that's really frustrating! One, it's difficult with a do-it-yourself position. . then, you don't get a neat job, your toenail would not appear presentable. . So my friend, do hit the parlor for a facelift of those toenails and transform them. . try it!

We are here!! We are coming!! LOL :)
I really don't know what you could do to not cut your toe nails again...unless you have them removed or something.
But, I don't think that would be a good idea!
You could always cut them really short every time you cut your toes nails, but you would still have to cut them!!
I don't like cutting my toe nails either, because I mess them up, and they take so long to grow back! :DD
Sorry, I probably wasn't that much help! Like you said, "Darn toe nails!"

hahhaa. yeah darn toe nails!!!
I don't like cutting them too short because it kinda hurts when you cut into the quick, and mine grow so fast that they scrape my shoes and get caught on my socks and stuff after only like 2 days, so it's a pain, and i'd never get them removed.
No biggy haha, i didn't actually expect a good answer, just thought i'd stir up come crap hahaha....
I wonder if i could invent a spray to stall them from growing hahaha.

There is one thing that you can try to stop your toe nails from growing. wrap each of your toes in duck tape, wrap them very tight. Leave the duck tape on your toes for 3 months. After 3 months
remove the tape, and guess what your toe nails are gone, they have rotten off. Good luck..
If the tape comes off just rewrap them.

It would be very extreme bu you cold have your toe nail removed surgically. They take it out of the nail bed from the root and it isn't supposed to ever grow back. I know someone who had an accident and had to have her toe nail permanently removed. I think it'd be pretty painful, but she oculd still paint the skin bit afterwards to make it look as though the nail was there. Whatever floats your boat!
