Which Artificial Sweetener is Safe?

The rising number of people suffering from obesity and diabetes have provided a lucrative market for artificial sweeteners. Its found in almost all of the best-selling food products like soda, chewing gums, pastries and ice-cream. Almost all products flashing the sugar-free, low-sugar, less-sugar, low-carb, low-calorie, diet, light, lite contain artificial sweeteners. In short, it is marketed as a healthy option. But how safe is it?

I need to do more research into the Stevia thing but I currently think that is the way to go if possible. I use it a lot when I'm compounding medications to add sweetness.
I have personally had side effects from the use of both Aspartame/Nutrasweet and Sucralose/Splenda and have had to avoid both of them. I know that they still may be wonderful products for other people but they have greatly concerned me. (And cost me a good bit in medical bills!)

Actually artificial sweeteners as such is not the best solution for diabetes.. people can choose raw fruits and vegetables rather than taking foods with artificial sweeteners.. because many components of the artificial sweetener is found to have cancer causing agents which is the proven fact.. especially aspartame containing products.. so avoiding them is the best...

i think sugar is still most safe,but you don't over consumed this... corn sugar is the best choice i think, cause it has more few calories than general sugar
