Do you have a hard time getting going on Monday mornings?

I am so tired this morning and really have no reason to be. It just seems like Monday mornings are the hardest to get up and get going. I'd like to look at it as the beginning of a whole new week and new things to do. And I have the best intentions on Sunday nights, but when Monday morning comes, I'm into an I don't want to do anything mood. Anybody else ever get this way?

I'm with you. I think it is just looking ahead at the week and realizing all the things that have to be done. Just looking at my calendar on Monday morning makes me tired! I tend to be able to sleep in a bit later during the weekend, so getting up on Mondays is hard too. With all the kids activities, my weeks tend to be so full that I have no ambition at all. Today I started by babysitting starting at 6:30am! Got my kids off to school, had 4 other kids come for me to watch. We will be having breakfast right after I post this. Then off to a busy day. Once the kids I babysit are gone, my daughter has gymnastics and right after that we run her to kickball. My son has a track meet. I have a Home Depot workshop tonight at 7 and then out to celebrate my sisters birthday. I think I am already tired for tomorrow too:)

That makes me tired just reading about all you have to do. At least you are keeping busy, that is supposed to be good.

I do have the same problems as you do not because i am lazy but i tend to get excited by Saturday nights and usually sleeps like 2am and then Sunday came so many things to do like doing the laundry, cleaning the house, watching movies and lots of other things that i don't usually do in weekdays. Then i end up very tired by Sunday night and my 2 month old baby wakes up like 5am. I really dread Mondays and i usually just sit for like one hour at the office doing nothing and especially if i did not have my cofee..but by afternoon im back to my usual self and my usual energy again.

I know exactly how you feel!! No matter if I have a sensible Sunday or what we call a super sunday (an afternoon down the pub) I always find Monday the hardest to get out of bed!! Maybe it's the thought of going back to work that makes you just want to roll over and go back to sleep... I'm not sure, but I definately don't like Mondays!

I have always had a problem with Mondays, it's the first morning after the weekend. You have two whole days to kick back and relax, only to have to get out of bed on Monday morning and get back to the 9-5 routine. The only way out of it is to bite the bullet, throw back the covers, jump out of bed and face the morning head on, then again staying in bed a little longer always has its appeal :-)

Yeah, I think I often have a "case of the Mondays", to quote on of my favorite movies "Office Space". If you haven't seen this movie and you work in an office..you must check it out! Anyway, today is especially hard because I didn't sleep too well last night. I went to bed at midnight, which is actually a little late for me, but then I didn't sleep very well after that either. I don't think I ever went into REM sleep which is when your body gets gets the most restful sleep. I think I just slept too lightly. It dosen't help that I have a ton of things to do this week. It's so hard to look at that extra long "to do" list at the begining of the week!

Well, Sherry, I am that way EVERY single morning. The night before I can plan a SUPER WOMAN day and know I can get it all done and when I get up the next morning there is no way I can get it all done. I have a hard time just starting my days at all. I will be watching your discussion because maybe someone will have an answer.

Nope not really I happen to like mondays mainly because I dont work on mondays and I always love watching monday night raw but one thing I hate about mondays is knowing that I have a whole work week ahead of me starting on tuesday and of course that will deffintley give me monday blues but for the most part I like mondays only time I didnt was when I was in school.
