black ants or red ants... which one do you prefer?

OK firstly i will prefer black ants as well and i would like to share a small legend with u which we happen to belive in India and that is the red ant belongs to the devil and it is not good to have them in ur house where in the black ant is gods messenger and if they come in ur house it brings good luck and lots of money so i am with u as well i will root for the black ant.

to be honest i dont like any ants. we have a yard full of them and they are a pain. we try to get rid of them but they never leave. lol. the little red ones hurt when they bite and then the big black ones are just in everything that has to do with wood. i hate stepping in the piles when i am not paying attention those little red ones hurt for days. they get into everything too.

I've never been are really big fan of the insect world in general. I clean and I clean my house every day and I still get ants and spiders inside. I try to stay away from pesticides as much as possible though because of children and pets. Though if I was gonna root for a specific ant, I would have to root for the black ones. Red (fire) ants hurt like the blazes when they bite. Even more so when you have a lot of them get on, cause you accidentally were standing on their nest. Talk about big ouch.

I don't like ants so would prefer neither, we get tiny brown ones and big black ones here where I live, and their a pain infesting the house and garden, some of the black ones tend to bite me when I disturb them whilst gardening.

I definitely prefer no ants, but if I had to choose it would be black. I'm allergic to red ants like you wouldn't believe. (Almost like getting stung by a bee when you're allergic to those)

Red ants are baaaaaaaaaaddddd....i have lots in my house...lol....i hate it when they bite...black ants are still tolerable....

I would also prefer black ants. Although both ants can do harm, I would rather be harmed by a black ant than a red ant. Red ants have this poisonous sting that may leave you sick or even kill you if you are allergic. No, I am not exaggerating. Have you heard of fire ants? Those are the ones you should stay away from. Any type of red ant will attack if they are threatened. If there was a world wrestling federation between the two, then the red ant would own!

Well, I can't really say that I "prefer" either of them, and wouldn't want either kind showing up at my picnic! If I could choose a kind to look at, I guess I'd go for the red ones, since they're not as common. It's not too often that I see red ants, or any red insects, for that matter.

Wow..a discussion actually on ants:) Well, ideally I prefer no ants. But if i had to choose then it would be black - as you said red ants bite, black dont really. Also thel look less offensive coz they are smaller in size.

Lol!...why do you have to prefer any one of them in the first place? its kind of amusing. i would have preferred the red ants cause they are more destructive and annoying, and so i could disturb others..hehehe!! its all about might buddy:D

there are many types of black ants and a few red ants all red ants do bite and only one set of black ants don't we call them running ant or mad ant because they are always running around like they are mad I too perfer these types of ants

I think I will bet on the red ants. Though I dont like red ants but since it is aggressive in nature, I am sure they will win.

i don't like ants...they go to my food and i don't like stuff going to my food....i don't like the red ants because they bite..and their bites are so itchy...i don't like the black ants because i accidentally ate one...the ant tasted so bad

Well Black ants is good for me, in a sense that they dont bite. But in my experience with ant coloration most bright colored ants are the biters, analyze whether any size its the reds that are nasty. What I do want to see is a game that one day will pit ant colonies against each other. you see there are thousands of ant species with different adaptations. the Game will be like a war game where you will make workers that will gather resources and soldiers that will defend and attack. Then other types of special ants that do amazing stuff for the colony specific for a species. In the End the best kind of ant shall prevail hahaha!

When i am hungry, i prefer the black ants because there is more to eat. Just kidding! I like to squish ants, No not really. Ok, seriously the black ants because they are less agressive and they mind there own business. As a kid, i sat on an ant-pile picking berries and the red ants bite me all over. It was embarassing taking my clothes off on the side of the road so my mom could sweep the ants off. LOL! Take care Ronreyes.

I would have to start by saying I like them both, as my husband is in pest control, he's a 'bug man"! So they are job security, as long as we have bugs, he'll have a job. Actually I personally like black ants, if I have to chose a favorite, because the bite or sting of a red ants, hurts like crazy!

Eerk... I never like ants, be it red, black or white. Whenever I see any, they are doomed. If there is such a game on ants, I would bet my money on poker.

I hate red ants, too. I've also been told that black and red ants have something to do with luck, financially, that is. Seems to be true. The times when red ants get into our house are the times when we're so hard up, and the times when black ants roam around are the times we get easily by. If you ask me, just getting bitten by red ants is already bad luck in itself.

i hate red ants! they bite! and im allergic to ant bite..if im bitten, it gets really swollen and it will 3 to 4 days before it get cured.. black ants are fine...they dont bite and yes theyre friendly.

i don't like ants cause ant are still ants even if it's a black or a red ant they both bite....and it really hurt when they bite so i would not prefer any ant.... but if any wrestling competition would occur i would bet for the black ants.. cause i really like the color black
