I dont think you will need a quad core cpu just yet unless you do really cpu intensive tasks like high definition gaming or if your going to use the quad core computer as a hub for a home wireless network or something like that, otherwise i would save the money for now.

there's a nice idea, a hub or a server for gaming or internet connection. ill also keep that in mind. but as i have mentioned earlier, ill be needing or doing some cpu intensive task, that might be a consideration.

Are you an avid gamer or in any other way in need for the extra cpu power, in example movie rendering? If so, it might be worth the price, depending on whether you would actually take the most out of it with both.
If you are not or you play games like CS:S or you just do single image renderings on not too high of a quality you won't be needing it.

the answer to everything that you have said is "yes". i play computer games a lot and sometimes do stuffs such as video editing wherein movie rendering needs a lot of power. well, ill keep your suggestion in mind. thanks anyway.
