I know there are so many video games, computer games, all kinds of games...but do you still play old fashioned boardgames?
Every weekend the fours of us - 3 now since my daughter is not here - take one night to play board games. We play monopoly, life, canadian trivia, guess, even sorry:) It's kind of a tradition with us now. We have fun and it's a time that we're together, talking, playing, having fun, as opposed to sitting in front of the computer or the tv.
We sometimes play teams, special on the trivia game, mom and son, versus dad and daughter, or girls against guys and we actually laugh together:):)

That's an emphatic 'yes'. I live in a culture (Mexico) where board games are practically unknown, I brought them from Germany or asked my mother to send some. I have to Mexican boys, 11 and 12, and we dive into monopoly, card games or other 'German' board games unknown on this continent LOL, usually on saturday evening. When their friends are there, it's POKER, not with money, of course, but with, you guessed it, beans.

We still play board games at our house. I use it for family nights followed up by a good family type movie. I find it a great way to get to know the kids and for the kids to get to know their parents better and it promotes togetherness. We always have lots of fun playing board games and the kids learn alot about be a good sport and following rules too and that is important too.

I still have my old Momopoly game in the cupboard and another board game that comes with a video. It's an interactive role play game called Atmosphere, and great fun

Yes I do. I love them. But it is so hard to find anyone who wants to play them with you anymore. :(

This is one of the things we do when we visit my family. That is the only time we actually have time to sit down and play without interruption. We also like to go bowling. Also good family time.

yup, we play this everyday but mostly fridays. my brother, parents, my brothers girlfriend, my friend, and i would always play. we also play monopoly and sometimes guess too. we like to play this and we dont actually get bored of it. on fridays, my friends parents also comes over (they live like 2 house from us and as i mention in too many topics, they know my parents because of my friends and my grandfathers) and one of my other brother as well. in weekends it is the best because i have both of my brothers over and a lot of people to play. it is also fun to play in the weekdays as much.

I don't really play online games much. I do play some computer games, and sit down with the kids and hubby to play video games sometimes but I really enjoy our boardgame time. It just makes is a family thing and it's nice that we can sit as a family and have such fun even though the kids are at the age where they usually don't appreciate time in family that much :)

Yes I do !! My youngest got "Dinopoly" for Christmas and he wants to play it ALL the time !! It's a form of Monopoly, but instead of real estate properties, you actually purchase dinosaurs !! He is a dinosaur freak, so it was fitting for a gift for him. It's a pretty cute game and I am the only one willing to play with him. His brother never wants to play. The actually have it in Catopoly, etc. It's a new twist on Monopoly, the kids love it.

Yes, I play scrabble, monopoly, chess and checkers with my daughters. We have game night and we play old fashion board games and we have a lot of fun. I think they are much better to play with children then video games.

Yes we do. Usually when my grandchildren are here we play board games. And, on holidays that is part of how we spend the afternoon and evenings. We play a lot of the game Trivia, and divide up into teams, so the younger ones can play too. We, also, like to play cards.

I am a huge advocate of board games and card games. I like tv and the pc alright but there is nothing like sitting around with your friends and family and having a game of something! When we were teens we used to play sorry and trivial pursuit with my dad and his new family, and dominos and mexican rummy with my mom. Now that I am older I love playing scrabble and yatzee with my nanny and mom or canasta. With my friends I like 90's Trivial Pursuit or Cranium - it's the best game going and it's Canadian!

I used to actualy like them. Life, sorry, risk and monolopy were my favorites. I guess I just kinda lost interest in them as I got older. I still play sometimes though. I do like cards however. I play texas holdem at my neighbors sometimnes. Punky and her family recently re-introduced me to eucher too. I used to play that one a lot.
