When my son was little we used to play musical chairs and musical statues. Lay out a few chairs in a line and have the children walk around them while the music plays. When the music stops they have to sit down, last one left is out. then remove a chair and begin again. With musical statues the children dance to the music until it stops, they have to stand completely still and the one who moves first is out. You can also play musical hats, have the children sit in a circle and you need a hat. The children have to begin with the hat on their head, they take the hat off and put it onto the next ones head and so on. When the music stops the one with the hat is out.

A good inside game I remember was pass the parcel. You wrap up some lollies or whatever in the number of layers of paper that there are guests then sit in a circle with music going. you pass the parcel and when the music stops whoever i8s holding it gets to open a layer. The last one to open it gets what is in the middle. Most times I make it so everyone gets something. You could also have a ballon in between each paper layer for the kids to blow up. A game I remember playing but dont really know what it was called is you have a small tray with some objects on it like kets, a spoon, a dice , ect and everyone has apiece of paper. You show everyone the tray with all the stuff for a minute then you cover it and take it away. Then the kids have to write down everything they remember was on the tray. The one who remembers the most is the winner. Charades might be one to think about as well. Or celebrity heads, where you have three people up the front, you write the names of celebrities on pieces of paper, each person up the front picks one not looking at it holds it or has it stuck to their forehead, then they get to take it in turns asking yes and no questions until one of them guesses who they have. With little kids you could have Shrek and other chartoon characters, or animals. They ask things like am I a boy or girl. Do I have hair. Do I live in a house. Am I big? This can be a lot if fun. I hope I have given you some ideas and I hope your daughter has a lovely birthday.

Good luck on the birthday party! Here are some games I know..
- Put one or two special stickers under two kiddie chairs and those who will sit on those two chairs will get a prize. You could announce this at the beginning of the games.
- If you have a balloon twister, you can make the kids guess what animal the balloon twister is making, whoever gets the answer will get the balloon and a price.
- Write in small pieces of papers one kind of prize, write only 1 prize in each paper, you can give away a dozen prizes in you want depending on the number of your guests. Put one paper inside each small balloon, you can also put some blank papers in other balloons if you want. Then put the balloons is a big basin and make the kids get one balloon for themselves. Once they have a balloon in each hand, you can instruct them to pop the balloon and see if they won a prize.
Whew.. I hopw I helped!

Pin the tail on the donkey would be a great game at this age. If you have the space, Most kids LOVE pinatas. Also, if you have the clear space, you could set up some easels and have kids finger paint, or draw pictures with markers etc. Have a craft set up, maybe a picture frame to make out of popsicle sticks, and you can take their pic with the birthday boy/girl with a polaroid camera, and they can have something to take home with them. (if you don't like the popsicle Idea, they have frames that you can buy and decorate) I'm sure your kid will have a blast, and COngrats on another year!

If you are having a indoor party in a big house, they can play hide and go seek. Or maybe card games like Old Maid or Crazy 8's.Or maybe the kids could rell stories to each other.

Mine is going five too, when those occasions does come they're really a work in happiness looking at you're kids enjoying the fun. If you could get to hire yourself a clown, just the someone in you neighborhood that would really be a good help which is what i just usually do, else its really be big job to fulfill with all the kids all over you & some kiddy adults. The "get me", "answer this", and "statue dance" games are the most common. I do also provide cartoon show video & since i have a playstation i have it included too in the party.
But in any case, enjoy your kids party.
