You can find that sort of details on the paypal site, they tend to change every now and then. But I believe you could spend 750$ on an unverified account in total with a limit per transfer I believe.

Yes, you can make an online purchase on paypal with unverified account but there is a limit of around $100 for you to do so. So, the best way to utilize paypal is to verify it using adding a credit card.

Yes, you can. I had an unverified account and I made purchases, they just don't let you spend as much money as a verified account. Sometimes sellers won't accept unverified accounts (on eBay), but then again don't bid on the items if you know that. Generally stores that use paypal (not via eBay) will accept any type of money. I have an "unverified" paypal acount which I occasionly use with my prepaid debit card. I have bought things this way without any problem.
