How many hours do you need to sleep well?

I have no set # of hours. I sleep my best when I'm really tired and I wake up refreshed after sleeping. I can function on 3-4 hrs per night. I once was awake for 60hrs just to see how long I can go without sleep, then slept for 17hrs afterwards!

I need 9-10 hours.
If i wake up early, then whole day i will be dull and drowsy.

Majority of the people need 6 to 8 hours of sleep. Children need to sleep longer. There is a saying that a Yogi needs 6hours sleep, bhogi needs 7 hours. Those who sleep 8 hours are rogis.
That apart, sleep requirement varies from person to person. If one gets up fresh and vitalized, he had enough sleep. Reluctance to get up from bed and tiredness on waking up indicate lack of sleep.

i wish i could get 8 hours of sleep but that doesn't seem to be the case, well mostly on working days. on working days i probably sleep around 6 to 7 hours, that's ok i guess. but during weekends or holidays i probably sleep more than that.

For me five hours is even for good sleep.Sleeping more not good for the health.It is good to sleep early as possible and wake up at 4 or 5 am.

I used to need 8 hours of sleep, and I was enjoying it a lot. I also had a lot of dreams and some of them I remembered even. Now, since couple of weeks I have problems sleeping and I wake up always tired after6-7 h of sleep. and I think it is because of the stress I have in my life right now...

I need 8 hours to sleep well also. But sometimes if the day is very hectic for me, I'll need more than 8 hours of sleep to recuperate.

i'm already ok with 5 hours of sleep. but sometimes i need to sleep for 8 hours or more if i'm really sleepy. and i do sometimes over sleep for almost 11 hours.
