Hi everyone this morning when I was taking my shower I look down at the sponge and I saw something on it. So after I got done I took it out to see what it was. It was a tick. Now can you tell me how that got on there. I pulled it off and it was still living so I flushed it. So if you have any ideas feel free to tell me. Thank goodness Im tickless!

Oops I hate to say it, but if you see one, there might be more...think you better do a real search around your house...and check your kitties...they might be indoor cats, but they just might have found a home on your cats...Yikes...

Yikes, that is awful. But, glad you have such good eyesite, and that you saw it. It must have come in on someones clothes. It may have just been a one time thing.

If you have no pets, then the only things I can think of are:
1. it blew in a window
2. it was tracked in on a person who had been around someone else's pet
3. it came in on a shoe that walked through a freshly mowed lawn
...as for how it got in your sponge...hmmmmm

Ticks are nasty little critters. They hitch rides on your shoes and clothing. If you walked across your yard you could have gotten it that was or maybe it hitched a ride in when your hubby mowed the yard. The worst ones are the little spotted critters. My hubbys folks have a christmas tree farm and when we go help with the trees in the summer we have to really check each other over afterwards and are usually covered in them.

That's a little disconcerting, isn't it? One time, after we were in bed, I was rubbing my husband's back and felt something. I said, "Do you have a new mole or something?" He immediately jumped out of bed and turned on the light, and sure enough...he had a tick! ICK! He had gone to one of those car "graveyards" where you can look for and buy spare parts off of old cars for yours, and it was full of weeds and high grass, so apparently full of ticks also!
