I almost never eat. It is so bad. That is why I am having trouble losing the baby weight because I never eat. I try to feed my daughter and try to get something immediatley after. Like an apple or a small snack that doesn't require both hands. Most of the time I end up eating breakfast and dinner.

well it is not bad as long as you eat well, but not eating does make it harder to lose weight, because your body will hold on to the fat longer to stay sustained since you are giving it less calories. I hope you get a chance to eat. good luck

i had the same problems when my son was born. chores and then caring for the baby takes so much time and energy. it's all about time management, really. just don't forget to take care of yourself. don't bother cleaning the house, everybody else will understand if you can't keep the house neat. what's more important is that you remain healthy for your baby.

i hope you don't mind me asking, are you married or single? because i find that it's easier for single moms not to care about chores than married moms because they have other household members to care for. if you're married, ask your husband to help with the chores. or ask a relative to stay with you during the day so you can rest. honey, motherhood ain't easy. enjoy the baby now, because when they grow up you'll wish you never taught them how to talk and walk.

i wish i could put myself in front of chores and some house work. I still can not bring myself to do though. I guess i will learn with time.

My little ones are 8 and 2 and I still forget to eat sometimes. It is not good to skip meals for health reasons and mood reasons, but I still forget somedays. I like to try and keep really easy things to eat on hand so that if I forget and then remember, I can grab something really fast rather than standing inthe kitchen forever deciding if I want to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or not. I like to keep cut up fruit and vegetables, pitas with hummus, celery and peanut butter, and things lie that. Congrats on your new baby!!

when i had my first baby, yes, this was so true for me. i dont know how i did it. i would go the whole day without eating. i didnt do it on purpose, it was just that i would forget to eat becuase i felt like all of my focus was on the baby. i would sleep whenever he slept, and when he was awake, i would just stare at him and give him my full attention. now, i look back at it and realize that i wasnt busy at all. i now have a new baby, the first is only a year and a half, and now i think i understand what busy really is. the reason i say "think" is becuase i only have 2, i cant even imagine how much more busier moms with more children are. now i am burning so much energy, i am always hungry, i need to eat, or else i dont think i would be able to make it through the day.

lol well in a way you are right. i guess i could leave his side and take a break from gazing into those little blue eyes to go at least fix a snack. I guess i am more afraid that i will miss something new that he has done.

I had this problem at first as well. She wanted to be held constantly! Now that she is a little bigger she is able to play alone for a few minutes so I can make lunch, etc. It still isn't on time but at least I have some energy to try and figure out when I can find time to work out!

Remember that you have to take care of yourself too. When your baby is sleeping, take time for yourself (either to catch up on sleep yourself or sit down and eat). Congratulations on becoming a mom. It is so fun.

Yes I think all moms have this problem at first. And to be honest my daughter is 4 now and sometimes I forget to eat, between headstart, chores, playing outside and stuff like that sometimes if I don't feel the urge to eat I forget. And then by the time I remember it's late at night so needless to say I can't seem to lose weight.
