I met a friend at Fridays restaurant yesterday. They were there patiently waiting at a **TABLE**. I dispise sitting at tables. There were a lot of booths there for our choosing. "What were you thinking" I thought. I dunno I can't get comfortable at a table. Booths are cozier to me. I will usually wait until a booth becomes available if they only have tables available. What do you prefer booth or table when enjoying breakfast, lunch or dinner?

I'm going to agree with you on this one, booths are cozier. I also don't like tables & the chairs are usually not comfortable.

I find tables far moer comfortable than booths.
If you're between people in a booth and want to get out, they have to get out so you can.
You can move a chair closer or further away but the only way of doing this in a booth is to sit closer or further from the table part and if you are sitting on the edge of the seat well that's just plain uncomfortable.

I prefer a booth, I agree with you, they are much cozier. A booth is also easier when you have children, they're a little more "contained" in the booth. My mother-in-law refuses to sit at a booth, when we're with her we always have to wait for a table. She says that for a couple of reason's one is she's a large woman, and the other is she says her knees hurt and she can't slide into a booth. It upsets me when she insists on a table and when my son was younger and was with us, she would get so mad at him because he would get up and try to run off, or he wiggled to much in the chair. I tried to tell her he had too much freedom in a chair, so it was going to happen. He finally calmed down and started to feel more grown up in the chair, but the booths are still better for him.

I pick booth over table. Its easier then trying to get ou daughter to sit still strapped in to a highchair while waiting for the food to come. I really like the ones that are a semicircle so both her dad and I can feed her.

yea i can relate to you i hate sitting at tables there have actually been times when I would wait 20 mins for a booth because i can never get comfortable at the tables and its usually somewhere in the middle with a bright light over it and i like dim settings when i go out to eat

Personally I think boothes are way more comfortable and you can relax while you wait on your food. I don't like tables much either, but if I have to then I'll sit at one.

I love sitting at a booth. I think most people feel like this because we all have tables at home. I like the booth for all meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner.

I prefer to sit at a booth when at a place that has them or a table next to the wall much more private i find.

It depends if only one person is with me then I prefer a booth. If there's four of us I like a table because there is more elbow room.

I prefer a booth. But sometimes when we am with the kids, I prefer a table because it is easier with the high chairs and if we have the stroller, it sticks out too far at the booth.
I know a few people who prefer tables. But most of them are larger people and they have trouble fitting at a booth. Last month when we were visiting friends, we went to a restaurant that only had booths. Since both him and his wife are large, they could not fit at a booth. They complained to the manager and the restaurant gave us a special larger booth that could accommodate two chairs on the end.

Booths are definitely more comfortable. I refuse to sit at a table - I just don't feel right.

Once outside our homes one should think that they are pilgrims, sitting anywhere, eating what ever comes to us will make our life more easier.
