How do you like your pork chops?

Smothered Pork Chops - A great way to prepare pork chops is to smother them in gravy.

We love pork chops at our house. Our favorite way to have them is smothered in gravy. I sear the chops on the both sides with lots of salt, pepper, and a bit of cayanne pepper. Then I take the pork chops out of the pan (non stick skillets seem to work the best for us) and make gravy with the drippings. Then I add the pork chops back to the pan and let them finish cooking through. I really want to try a mango chutney on them, but I don't have a recipe for that. What is your favorite pork chop recipe?

I like them stuffed! Here is a great recipe: 4 bone-in thick cut (1 1/2" to 2" thick) chops 1 orange 1 tablespoon butter or margarine 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion 1/2 cup soft breadcrumbs 1/3 cup coarsely chopped apple 1/8 teaspoon rubbed sage - Dash pepper 1 tablespoon butter or margarine 2 teaspoons cornstarch 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon 2/3 cup apple juice, cider, or chicken stock Cut an opening in each chop, widening the pocket without cutting through to the bone. Set aside. Shred 1 teaspoon orange peel; set peel aside. Squeeze orange, reserving juice. For stuffing, in a medium saucepan cook onion in hot butter till tender. Remove from heat; stir in breadcrumbs, apple, 1 tablespoon of the orange juice, sage and pepper. Fill pocket in each chop with an equal amount of stuffing. Brush both sides of chops with some of the remaining orange juice. Place chops in an baking dish. Bake in a 325 degree F. oven for 25-30 minutes or till tender, basting occasionally with orange juice. For sauce, in a small saucepan melt 1 tablespoon butter; stir in cornstarch and cinnamon, mixing well. Gradually stir in apple juice. Add the orange peel and cook over medium heat till thickened and bubbly, stirring constantly. Serve sauce with chops.

baked w/garlic powder, curry powder, chili powder and anyother spice that catched my fancy that day... bake until almost done... add a can of cream of mushroom soup... while that is finishing make a pot of rice add another can of cream of mushroom soup to rice and serve... (make sure you add the extra baked soup to rice because that is the best part)

I too, sear the pork chops on each side. I sprinkle them with paprika only. I mix a small can of frozen orange juice as directed on the can. I pour that over the pork chops and throw in about 10 whole cloves. I let this cook on low heat, covered with a lid for an hour. They are sooooo tender and taste so very good!

Funny you should ask... we just made pork chops for dinner tonight. :) I like to take Lawry's 10 min. marinades (In the ketchup section at the grocery store) Lime & Garlic flavor and drench the chops. Then, just put them on a med heat grill, and cook until done. Tender and flavorful! Serve it with fresh potato salad, butter beans, and homemade applesauce! YUM YUM! :)

I like porc chops breaded just like Wiener Schnitzel and boiled potatoes and peas and carrots and a lettuce salad with vinaigrette dresing to go. That is what my grand-ma cooked way back when for me. I loved it as a child and it is still one of the dinners I like best.

I boil mine a little first before putting them on the outdoor grill, (to make them more tender), then I slather them with my famous blackberry barbaque sause and when they start to get a little crispy, that's when it's time to chow down, YUUUM!

Hi MommytheMaid and by the way I love that name.LOL As a matter of fact Im having pork chops tonight. Im cooking them in some french onion soup and cut up some potatoes and simmer for about 1 hour. Then I make a salad to go with it. You dont even need any seasoning but the french onion soup is enough.

I like them stuffed with a simple stuffing mix, and seasoned with salt and pepper, then grilled till they're done. They taste fantastic with mashed potatoes, carrots, peas and lots of yummy gravy. This reminds me of the traditional sunday dinners that my Mom used to make for us all when we were kids. It brings back fond memories of my Grandfather when he was alive too, because he could never eat without dripping gravy down his necktie LOL.

Best pork chop recipes ive had: season both sides with just salt and pepper..brown in a little oil. Chop up 1 or 2 medium onions. put pork chops back into pan, cover with just enough water to cover the chops...add onions..cover and let simmer for a few hours...the onions dissapear and become mostly flavor and the chops are soo most you cut them with a fork. The gravy made with this goes great with rice. You can thicken the gravy with a little cornstarch

i pan fry them, and pour a bit of cream of mushroom soup over them with just a bit of salt and black pepper. i really don't put too much in the way of other spices on it,black pepper is enough for me because of the great taste of it.
