do you prefer online banking? i love to check my account everyday, keep an eye on it, not have to listen to the balance and such over the phone, it's all right there for me to actually read and see. i hate going to the bank, and we have direct deposit, so we only have to call them if something strange comes up, and we don't have to go into the actual bank very often. ATM's are nice too, unless you have to watch which one you go to, in case there are extra fees. i just feel online banking is yet another helpful convenience for today's crazy, fast-paced lifestlye. do you agree? disagree?

I pay all my bills online and I love it!! It is very convenient. I usually sit down on Saturday or Sunday and pay all the bills in just a few minutes. I don't have direct deposit, so I do have to go to the bank once a week to make a deposit. I don't really mind doing that cause I have my deposit slip ready ahead of time and I can zoom in and out of the bank pretty quickly.

Hello,freeklelip334,I prefer to use online banking as i do not like to line up at the branches which always waste much time there.I do not always check the account balance,i will only logged on when i need to make a transfer or receive a payment. It helps us alot in this fast paces lifestyle as we can do everything by one buttons any moment in a day,and may be more and more branches will be closed down as more and more people are using the online banking.

Yeah, I love online banking too. It's so convenient, and I love being able to check our balance and transfer funds and everything right from the computer. My husband is in the military, so with him being all over the place and moving all the time, online banking makes things so much easier cause we don't have to worry about switching banks all the time if there's not a local branch where he's stationed. It would be so much harder to keep up with if we couldn't access everything online!

I love online banking. It's so convenient I can do it at any time, any day. Even Sunday! I transfer funds, I pay my bills. I don't even use my checks anymore except to pay for the apartment. I also use the remittance service to send money to my Mom in the Philippines. I used to have to drive 25 minutes to send money.

I prefer online banking, it is convenient, I do not like going into the bank and waiting in line. Online banking is faster and easily assessible. I also like the drive through ATM machines, make sure I go to my bank's ATM to avoid the fees too.

i'm glad to hear that about people liking the online banking experience. cuz there are people who are afriad of online things, such as the banking, or placing orders online, paying with credit cards online...i haven't had any probs yet...

I definately prefer online banking. I have direct deposit and I pay most of my bills online. It's usually free to do so and it saves me time and stamps. I bought a book of stamps about 6 months ago and I still have a bunch left. My mother will bug me for a stamp every once and awhile so I think she is the only one who uses them. One day snail mail will be obsolete and with the constant increase in postage, I won't doubt it if that days comes sooner rather then later.

same here, we have direct deposits, and pay most bills online. i LOVE paying bills online...don't feel right sending them thru mail at times, what if it's lost, what if someone steals it? online i have confirmation quickly of the payment received, helps me to breathe better! ha ha. AND as you said, postage keeps going up and up. i buy stamps, use one, then the postage goes up, and i have to buy, say 2 cent stamps to make up the difference? it's not worth it for me. AND i'm not good about sending out cards for birthdays and such, miss the date to send them, so it's much easier for me to do e-cards. and people seem to be ok with that. it'll help save the environment, less paper use right? and i email constantly, don't know the last time i sent out an actual hand-written letter. some feel that is impersonal, but not me, email me anytime ya know, cuz i can get RIGHT back to you. that's how i feel anyway! thanks for your response melissa.

Aaaa, just some hours ago i saw one of my bank accounts suspended for no reason, so i think that online banking sucks! If this was a real bank, i can see the face of the boss and to ask him normally.Online you see no faces:-( I asked and asked and asked again at icq where the problem is. And no reply.

I still do my banking by mails unless I buy some things online then I pay online, but this is very rare. I think doing everything online is helpful but right now I don't really think there is anywhere safe to do that yet

i think it does scare some people, but i am more afraid of using the mail system. we have had some probs with it recently, people getting into people's mailboxes and such. when i pay my bills, i want them paid...i don't want to sit and wonder if they will get paid. a lot of sites are secure where you can use your credit cards and such. you ahve to look for the secure site symbols and such, and banks are secure, i mean as secure as going and handing you money to a teller, can't always trust those worker's either...hear stories all the time about actual employees stealing from the workplace...nothing is completely safe anymore sad to say

I think online banking is very convenient. I hate going through the phone hitting a million bottons before gathering my information. ATM is nice but it doesn't offer as many service as online banking. Besides, you have to live close to one to be able to monitor your bank account. I love online banking not only because I could check my balance whenever I want. It also offers me the payment for bills services and some investment options. I think it's just perfect for city dwellers.

i totally agree! and there are so, well too many different options and buttons to push if you use the phone...it's SOOO much easier to just see it with your own eyes, much more user-friendly!

I love online banking. It even shows pending charges so I can see what my husband buys right away, haha!! I can't think of one time that I actually called the 800 number to hear my balance and what not, and I hate going thru the bank statements. They are always so big! So yep, I love online banking. It's great!!!

OMG, LOL!!! that's so true what you say about the pending stuff. my hubby gets mad and says he can't surprise me with flowers, and pay for it on his card, or else i'll see it cuz i check it a couple times a day. it goes thru so fast i would know in an instant...of course i told him, 'yea nice excuse for NOT getting me flowers'....HA HA HA HA! however, he is right!! but i still love how quick it is!

I also like online banking. It can make things more convient. I do however still make personal visits to the bank as well because I don't have direct deposit. And I always use my banks ATMs because there isn't a fee. I can't really remember a time when I did feel the need to call my bank.

Hi, Yes I totally agree with you it so much more convenient and 'free' to do online banking. You can also resolve problems quicker if you're checking your bank account daily. I had a problem just last week where a direct debit hadn't gone out of my account as they said I had insufficient funds and told me that I would have to pay a £39 ($80) charge for the luxury of them telling me! Worst thing was that there was money in my account to cover the direct debit! So I phoned them and it was quickly resolved, little do they know they are about to get an invoice from me for my time and for the phone call, which will amount to £100 or $200 especially as it was a Sunday I called too lol!

OMG, $80 charge? for the luxury of "them tellin you". YES, i hate all these weird charges here and there, if ONE thing goes wrong. that's why i check mine every single day to monitor it too!! ooh, let me know how that next call for you will go, about giving them that invoice...i hate confrontation with businesses like that, BUT you have to protect your money, we work hard for our money, and sometimes that gets taken advantage of, you go!!! nice!!
