Al Gore's "documentary" An Inconvenient truth before they graduate! Some of the students are complaining that they are being required to hear only "one side of the debate". My thoughts on his movie are this...if even the scientists can't agree on the true cause and on how bad the situation is, why should we believe that Al Gore, a politician, should have the "truth"! http://www.cnsnews.com/ViewCulture.asp?Page=/Culture/archive/200705/CUL20070509a.html

I don't think there is any harm in exposing them to a variety of information. Each school is entitled to organzie its own cirriculum. Out of curiousity, is it part of an environemntal studies course, or is the entire school having to watch it? I think they should make them watch Happy Feet, as well.

I totally agree. I don't think that these students should be forced to watch the video. If they want to it should be available but not forced. My view on the whole global warming is that God isn't going to let anything happen to the earth until He is ready to make the new heaven and the new earth. Yes we should take care of what God gives us but I am not going to freak out about global warming.

This is just another example of "Our Government" trying to protect us from ourselves, even to their illogical reasoning that is trying to get to the "Future Leaders of our Great Country." Politicians have for years been trying to convince us that they are "Working for Us." This is just another way of trying to make themselves look important in our eyes. My opinion on this is: Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I don't intend to be fooled twice. Does anyone else have an opinion on this subject?

I completely agree. Where is the other side of this story? Global warming might be a fact, but it might also be a natural event. That is what I believe. No politician of any kind is going to change my mind. Most scientists are liberals anyway and will side in favor of them as a matter of convenience. It is hardly a bad situation as so many make it out to be. Gore has an ulterior agenda in my view other than saving the planet.

I couldn't agree with you more. And to think he is being considered as a candidate for the next Nobel Peace Prize. I guess that this was the only thing that he could find to "make his mark" in history. The worst part of it is...he doesn't even practice what he preaches....it appears that he is only interested in the cachets he receives....as well as Oscars.
