I am not so sure about it. All I could understand is that a spyware is a programme which enters your computer without your knowledge and collect your personal details and your surfing details. The first respondant has given very good details about it.

Spyware are programs like viruses and are attached to software you have downloaded, e-mail messages or web siites you have visited. All of this happens without you knowing it.

Spyware usually don't attach themselves to other programs. This would be typical of malware, while spyware tend to reside in the TIF directories. Spyware don't usually carry an actual payload in terms of destructiveness; they're more annoying than anything, not to mention an evasion of one's privacy.

I know it has something to do with computers. It is usually bad and it does from the sound of it.
