Where are the ants entering from? I've heard that a natural way to keep ants out is to use chalk. Just draw a line at the entrance or window with chalk. They won't cross the line. I haven't tried it so can't verify if it actually works or not. If you try it let us know how it works! I've always remembered this cause it is amazing (if it works)!

Try cinnamon. Ants do not like this spice. I have surrounded by whole house to keep these pests out and the cinnamon will not harm the plants.

simply sprinkle cayenne pepper around the area it is inexpensive and non-toxic.Or apply a sticky substance several inches wide around the area.use ant bait products containing boric acid, hydramethylon, arsenic.avoid using aerosol.
