Congress gives 50% of the money to pork belly projects and 50% to our troops. Which is more important off the wall projects or our troops? Does this make sense to you? Now they are proposing to fund the troops two months at a time. I think doing this will put our troops in more danger than they are already in. We need to support our troops 100% weather we agree with the war or not. Support them emotionally and financially. A nation divided against itself will not stand.

I agree whole heartedly. We are suppose to be the best so why shouldn't our troops have the best equipment and whatever else they need.

One more note. America needs to wake up. Instead of being so divided whether it be by political party,race, or agenda when is everyone going to realize this is a time for us to stick together against the terrorists. It is so sad to watch our demise right before our own eyes.

I agree with you. I do not think people realize how dangerous it will be to lose this war. The war will end up right in our hometowns if we surrender over there.

Well, I don't believe those numbers about half going to the troops and half going to pork projects--there would be no money left for anything else! The Administration really needs to support the troops more--the deplorable conditions exposed at Walter Reed hospital were disgraceful. And the Administration isn't doing nearly enough to pay for rehab and mental health services for returning veterans--there are thousands of soldiers coming home with traumatic brain injury and mental disorders.
