well, it took my kids a while to learn. every child is different and i heard that girls learn a lot easier then boys...of course i got all boys so don't know about that one yet. but they're now in the final stages of not peeing on the bed. doctors told me thats something they'll just eventually grow out of. but everything else, they're fully trained.
the best advice i can give is reenforments...treats. i would reward them for using the potty with a piece of candy or something. of corse i would take out all other types of sugars and sweets out of their diet. i also moved their potty seat closer to the location they were, like they play in the living room so i would move it to the side of the couch. it was faster for them to run to that and also they saw it all the time. when they got used to using it i started slowing moving it closer to the bathroom till the seat was on the toilet itself. also, i used to let them run around naked so they don't have to deal with the pulling down the pants and everything. but only when people weren't home.

I started potty training my little girl when she was two years old. It took several months. I tried everything from treats, to dancing (everytime that she went in the potty), to getting frustrated. The biggest mistake that I made was not being very consistent. Just realize that it is going to take a while for your child to go in the toilet and there are going to be setbacks along the way. I also believe that if you continue to be consistent with the method that you use (praise worked the best for my daughter), then they will go when they are ready.
