making my lunch today I asked my BF if he was hungry and would he like me to make him a sandwich also.
He said "I can't eat not in this weather." I said "what does the weather have to do with it?"
He replied it's too hot to eat LOL! I thought this was funny. I have never felt it was too hot to eat or to cold to eat for that matter. Does anyone think that the weather changes our eating habits? It's only 83 degrees here not that hot yet. What will he do when summer sets in FADE away?

Hot weather affects my appetite too. I can't really eat a lot when I am hot. Usually what happens is I am outside and not really hungry and then I go inside in the air conditioning and I gain back my appetite. I should stay outside all summer :)

If I'm outside working in the heat I won't eat much at all. If its cold, you better have a big fridge. Its a matter of the nutrition needed by the body. You need more energy to keep your body temperature up in winter and more liquids during the summer to replinish what you've lost.

Yes weather effect influence our eating habits. I does not use much of curd in winter, as i may get affected by cold. It is better to understand how our body adjust with the food materials in different seasons. If we eat things which does not suit the climatic conditions, we may suffer various disease.

I think I eat less when it's hot out. Sandwiches & salads. Sometimes I just snack on cheese, pepperoni & fruit.

Yes I think it does actually. When it is a hot day I only feel like eating light things like salad and sandwiched summer is an excellent time for me to diet. I also find when it is cold that I like to eat fattening foods. Fish and chips, chocolate and other fattenening foods.

You know, for me it does. When it's hot, I can't eat as much as I would normally eat when the temperature is moderate or lower. I tend to eat only half-portions or try to eat less...
i tend to eat more at night, when it is cooler. There is something that bothers me about feeling hot and eating cause it makes me sluggish.

It was common where I was born & brought up, for the weather to affect our eating habits. The weather was very extreme in summer, often over 40 degrees. Many families would prefer cold meals, such as cold cuts of meats, salad & icecream. It was also too hot to cook a hot meal.

The weather definitely affects my eating habits. I can't eat in hot weather because it will either give me the runs or it will makes my stomach hurt. I cannot eat when I go swimming either because that also makes my stomach hurt. I tend to eat alot more int he winter time because it is cold outside and there is not much to do other than sit around and think about eating something. I think he will eat if he is in some air conditioning, right? Or does he just not eat at all when the temperature is way up there?

Yes, the weather can affect my eating habit.
In summer, I like cold food, such as salad. Sometimes I eat cucumbers and tomotoes directly after washing. And I like eating liangpi(xi'an China),cold noddles(korean).
In winter, I like hot food. I often buy some vegetalbes and seafood and motton or beef stored in my refrigerator. I put some vegetables and seafood and motton or beef into a pot when the water is boiling. I often put some flavouring into water. It is easy and delicious. You will feel warmer and warmer in winter.

I think the weather affects everything. When it is cold outside, I want to be inside, snuggled up in a blanket with warm filling foods. WHen it starts getting hot, I don't want to eat..and when I do it is more snacking than really eating. I have a house full of kids and they are the same way. Our grocery budget changes a lot from winter to summer.

I do understand. The last few days here have been really hot too. I think that it can affect your eating habits because you get hot and annoyed and maybe feeling a little queasy and you just don't feel like eating....my boyfriend actually does the same thing frequently...maybe it's a guy thing...lol...

I am the same way when it is hot. But I find myself wanting to snack as opposed to a full meal. And it is usually junk food that I want. So yes, I think sometimes the weather affects are eating habits. I don't ever think it gets too cold to eat. But in the winter I seem to want more soups and baked goods.

I too am one that doesn't like to eat when it's really hot and humid. take today. Right now it's almost 90 and humid and sticky. I woke up and could only muster one slice of toast for breakfast. Lunch was passed by totally. I don't know what it is really but it seems to make me naseaous when it's this hot when I eat. I did ride to DQ for a Blizzard though. Hahahaha!
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

The weather DEFINITELY affects my eating habits. When it's hot I like Light foods such as Salads, sandwiches and so on.
When the cold starts to set in, I prefer heartier meals such as Stews, thick soups and suchlike.
My eating habits aren't exactly brilliant anyway, and on particularly hot days, I can go without eating at all. My partner says he doesn't understand how I can go a full day without being hungry, but to me, it's no biggie lol.

The hot weather seems to kill my appetite, I don't like to cook in the hot weather so I will make salads or sandwiches most of the time. I will eat a hot meal if it is cool or if we go out to eat. I will cook if it is outside barbaque.

oh, the summer affects me big time. that's why i lose weight in the summer, cuz i tend to drink more water and eat fruits and such that are cool and refreshing. and i don't cook as much on the stove, too hot, so we grill a lot and such. i really eat a lot less in the summer, plus we do more with the nicer weather, so i'm not sitting at home bored, which makes me want to snack...that's how the winter's are for me. so i put on my winter weight, and take it off in the summer...weird eh?
