Do you do lots of journaling or just tag or caption your pages? I find journaling time consuming when the pics say it all!

I keep the journaling to a minimum, but I started to journal after another gal suggested it to me. I do have the dates, names and what each individual is doing in the photos.. I believe to much journaling could take any the "spontaneity" of each of the photos.....you know..let others draw their own conclusions without putting my thoughts on the captions.

I don't do much journaling. I usually just use tags or small labels...Occasionally if a story goes along with the picture, I'll journal it, but mostly I like to let the pics and accessories tell the story.

I don't do a lot of journaling. When I put a scrapbook page together, I don't like to see more writing then pictures. If I want the details for years later, I like to put it on a tag and put it behind the picture or put it in a library pocket.

I actually enjoy writing so it's strange that for now, there's not much journalling on my pages. Have done one album with minimal journalling. Mainly just captions or tags.
MAybe for the next one I'll leave more space for journalling. Sometimes it amazes me how most people just have one photo per page. If I did that, I'd need far too many pages!
From what I've seen, scrapbooking is as much about recording the memories as much as the moments. So perhaps it's time to add in more details that are not evident from the picture, and that might ebb away with time if not chronicled!

When I first started scrappin almost nine years ago, I journaled alot. But, now I hardly ever do any journaling. My lay-outs always have the date of the pics on it somewhere. I tend to do use more titles now.
