well I think we seen this one coming, not sure what the real inside scoop is but watched the interview this morning and jr. just said they couldn't even come close to meeting in the middle and he has chose to leave dei for the time being and he is going off in another direction. what do you think he will do sign with someone else for a couple years or just go year to year and decide to start his own cup team?I hope he starts his own team within a couple years and then when that is stable go and take over dei which i am sure that he will in the long run of it all.

I think this has been long in coming ,I'm just not sure where he's likely to end up .I think all the Chevrolet teams are full except for Gibbs .Can you just imagine Juniors temper and Tony's temper all under one roof YEAOOWW .
D .E .I . will be finished without BUDWEIZER's money

I just read about this and was going to post about it when I seen your post come up. I think it has been a long time coming and even though I am not a Jr fan, I think it is in his best interest.
I believe that he will drive for someone else and then in a few years start his own cup team. I don't believe that he will right now as he will leave the option open to purchase DEI after its' downfall if that is what happens to it next.

That sounds about what he would do and I think it will be a great thing for him. He needs a change anyways.

I watched it too. I think he really wants to get some championships and that he'll continue driving for a while longer. He may need this for his own personal development and then he can be better prepared for having his own team.
I think it's a shame that she doesn't share control of DEI willingly as it really can be taken so much further than it has. I think it won't take long for her to regret taking the advice of whatever money hungry fool she listens to, but I hope it doesn't distract Jr. for too much longer. He needs to concentrate on his driving again & get some wins for a change.
