What are your suggestions for left over cooked spaghetti?

I fixed a huge pot of spaghetti for our large crew for supper and have quite a bit left over. This is only the spaghetti not the sauce. If I have sauce left over, I mix it with some spaghetti and then top with cheeses and back to make a spaghetti bake. I do make spaghetti salad, with cucumbers, tomatoes, cheese cubes, and Italian dressing. What other ways can I recycle my spaghetti. Y'all are so great with ideas I can't wait to hear all of them.

I've used left over spagetti to make chili. If you made a big pot, you could freeze part of the chili. I don't know if you could freeze spaghetti without having it mixed with something or not.

I've tried to freeze cooked spagetti by itself and all you get is very mushhy noodles :( You can freeze it in sauce but will have to add a lil water to the mix when you go to serve it as the noodles absorb the liquid. They are edible though.

I was wondering about freezing spaghetti. Yes, I like it in chili too. Maybe someone will see this and tell us if we can freeze cooked spaghetti.

hm i like howards idea better than mine...my sister in law used to fry (yes fry) left over spaghetti and serve it with cheese and stuff, but howards sounds way more appatizing... how about making the spaghetti into smaller pieces and using it in soup? mmmmmmmmmm

Preparation Time Hi Mamacathie, Well with your left over spaghetti, you cold make this with it. You just add 1 lemon, 2 tbs olive oil, 4 (about 230g) marinated artichokes, cut into eighths, 200g kalamata olives, 125g semi-dried tomatoes, halved if large, 100g chargrilled eggplant, cut into thick strips, Salt & ground black pepper, to taste. Method add Firstly add these to the spaghetti that you have already made and then add a zester to zest the lemon. (Alternatively, use a vegetable peeler to peel the rind from the lemon. Use a small, sharp knife to remove the white pith from the rind. Cut the rind into very thin strips.) Juice the lemon. Heat the oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add the artichokes, olives, semi-dried tomatoes and eggplant, and cook, stirring occasionally, for 4-5 minutes or until heated through. Drain the spaghetti and return to the saucepan. Add the artichoke mixture, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Toss gently over low heat to combine. Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary. It does taste very nice.

You could make turkey tettazinni with it for a little cost if you happen to have turkey leftovers or you can use a can of chicken or two if you can find it cheap enough - I usually get mine at dollar general. I am sure that you can find a recipe online for it as I am not sure of where my recipe is at the moment as I am moving items in the kitchen and trying to get more organized.

I like making pasta salad with leftover pasta - some good vinagrette dressing out of a bottle, and some veggies or chunks of cheese tossed in make a yummy dinner.

I love pasta salad. I went to a church function a few months back and they had it and they had added papperoni and chuncks of ham. It was good too. Thanks for posting.

Although this isn't the time of year for soup really, you can always throw it into a pot of soup of your choice. Also, you might find some casserole dishes that call for noodles, pasta, etc...

I put olive oil, garlic, cut up chicken(leftover from another meal) and whatever veggie is leftover with it. :) It's a good way to use up a lot of leftovers at one time and tastes good too.
