A customer in Mexico said he felt free in China, but didn't feel free in the USA, what's your feeling of traveling abroad?

I don't feel completely free in a foreign country. But the main factor for me is understanding, at least a bit of the country language. Of course it is not the only factor, the same culture is also very important. I feel more free when we have a similar culture, like european countries for me, than in countries with a very diferent one, for instance asia. After that it's how people interact with me, that is, you can feel that locals are friendly. The very poor countries it's another factor, it's pity, it's being afraid to be robbed. So, I guess there's no such thing like "to feel free". Even in my own country. :)

I feel very free in other countries where no one really knows me and I don't have to deal with the people in my daily life. But at the same time, I think everytime when I travel abroad, I rediscover my own country again and I would compare it to other countries and discover how much I love my place.

First,I'm glad to hear that a customer in Mexico said he felt free in China.I'm so proud because I'm a Chinese.Well,I don't feeling anything bad when I travelling abroad, because the foreign country is quite different from my motherland so travelling abroad is a good chance to enjoy the exotic ambience.

It depends on the country. I'd consider the matter of feeling 'safe' while walking in the streets, and also the matter of language.
