What you try first when you arrived in new city ?

I will have a cup of coffee and look arround. And it depends of how much time i have.I am curious to see the new place, the shopping comes later.

Whenever I travel to another country and after checking-in in my hotel room, the first thing I will do is to shop around. It is always my habit to list down my itinerary depending on how many days I will stay. I also include the places to shop, restaurant to dine-in and the hottest tourist spots to see. It will be preferable to spend within my budget.

I am very keen on travelling. When I arrive in a new city I find somewhere to stay. I do this by following some of the suggestions in my Lonely Planet Guide. If I know it will be especially busy I will book somewhere to stay in advance. I then go out exploring to enjoy the different views. When I have done this it is time for me to unpack and have a refreshing shower. Shopping usually waits for the next day.

For me, the first thing I try in a new city is the food and then the shopping! Sight seeing is last unless I am with my parents and that usually comes first!!

i normally would take a tour to see the major attractions first, and probably have a walk around the city too.

i just like to take a walk and get the feel of the place.. talk to few people and find out what would be the nice places to shop, dine and visit...

I like eating, and I like trying various foods when I have a travel. The difference really attracts me. Besides sightseeing, I like go to different restaurants to have the local famous foods. I am not very interested in shopping when I have a travel. As I don't want to carry a heavy bag when I am home.

when i arrive in a new city ,i will buy a map first ,and underline the places of interet there,then go there. next ,i will try those special local food.
