I have been selling everything that is not nailed down to get out of debt. I am finally almost out of debt..and am just wondering what others have sold. Most of what I have sold has been just crap laying around my house. Stuff that I bought thinking my kids would love..and they played with it for 2 minutes and tossed it aside. I sold most of my stuff on ebay..and made almost $3000.

Wow..they did good in August. I wonder how many hours that was though. I know a lot of the offers at CashCrate are where you have to do a trial of something. I wonder how much he spent in order to make that much.

I'm just starting to work on getting out of debt. I'm considering selling my stamp collection...need to find out its value first though.

Have you found out the worth of the collection? I have always liked stamps..but never collected them. I saw a display at the fair that was a kids. He had thousands of stamps and some of them were so pretty!

I've sold a couple of handbags and designer jeans on ebay recently, but they do charge a lot of money for what you sell! My boyfriend stopped using ebay because they were charging him £20 a month even when he wasn't selling anything.

I have heard people say that they were charged even when they weren't selling anything. It must have been the type of account he signed up for.

I haven't made a ton of money by any means, but I'm trying to sell anything that seems even remotely sell-able! Some of what I've set aside turned out to be not worth trying to ebay. But, I have a ton of things I need to get rid of one way or another. It's nice to be able to try and sell it before tossing it out or donating it. The only thing I've really made decent money with are some Beanie Baby credit card reward bears that I've earned a ton of. They're free for me and sell for several dollars a piece, so I'm gradually making some money on those. Besides that, some baby items I've gotten rid of have done OK. I'm all out of "big ticket" items now though.

I am out of big ticket items as well. I sold some Transformers from the '80's about a year ago. I had 8 different boxes..and they sold for an average of $100 each. Hubby had stored them for about 6 years..and when I cleaned out the storage..I made some money :)

Wow! You're doing a lot better than I am! Good for you! So far I have sold my daughter's old Heely's, and old Coach purse, a couple of books, and some perfume. I just started last month and have only been listing a couple of items a week. Do you have any advice for listing items on ebay? (Maybe I'll post that as a separate topic.)

As far as listing items on ebay, have a good description and pictures. Sometimes if I am not sure of my description, I will search for other items like mine and see how people have done their listing. You can't copy/paste word for word but at least there is a starting place.

We have sold videos, dvds, toys, clothes, books, some furniture, and other odds and ends. I've decided to also start selling some cookies and cakes that I'll make and maybe some of the craft stuff I make. We'll have to see how that goes.
