When people have problems with others why do they so seldom talk to them?

This has been bugging me a bit lately...and I'm not exempt from it either...but why when he have issues/problems with others are we so willing to talk to everyone else about it except for the person we really need to discuss it...

neals1 My girlfriend and I both go to sleep at the same time and wake-up together. We have a lot of animals so when one of us gets up there is a lot of movement and noise around the house.

I have a cat (Tommy) he's 8 now, but he has always been obsessed with cleaning. He cleans the other cat (after pinning him down), he cleans the dog, and he cleans humans (especially eyebrows). I've never had a cat quite like him...

neals1 I decided to open both his and my cockatiel's cages so they could come out and play...the cockatiel flew over to his (the Conure's cage)...and he's hiding from her...He is being quiet though. I'll have to work on making sure I do this daily and that the cats...
