Based on a movie I just saw, would you want to fast forward your life?

I was just watching the movie "Click" today where Adam Sandler was using a universal remote to fast forward his life as well as going back in his past. Would anyone here want to move ahead in their life? Are there things coming up in your life that you want to avoid or skip? Would you want to see how long it took to get promoted at your job? There is no way that I would want to skip days, months or years in my life, especially if I had children and a wife. would want to experience everyday of my life, even if there were bad days. There might be a few things in my past I would like to go back and change but would not want to move forward and missing any days or getting older quicker. :-)

I watched that movie and i really like the moral of the story, like how he missed those important things in life. I believe that even though we are having hard times we never know the positive effects of that out come. Our life is filled with surprises and we must expect it anytime so, what if we have that remote and just imagine skipping some schedules that might have changed your life but you skipped and continue on with your life without that change. Actually i don't want that remote lolzzzzzzz. Anyway its a great movie, if anybody have not watched that movie you should watch it.

That was a cute movie. As always, it shows that while you sometimes THINK you want one thing, the consequences of that change are quite drastic. At first it might seem like a good idea but think about it... you would never learn from your mistakes if you kept avoiding them. I'll stick to God's plan... one day at a time! LOL

I wouldn't want to fast forward any of my days..or would I like to go back..If there is something I could have done better in the past..I ask pardon of our Merciful God and move on..He is loving and forgiving and does not call to mind any thing we ask pardong for..it's lost in His Mercy and I don't like rushing things..so fast forward would never fit into my speed or tempo of life;)+

That is good that fast forwarding your life is not something that you would want to do. I think we all would like to go back at some point in time and change things but we can not so we just have to live everyday and make the most out of each day that we are alive.

Yes I have seen that movie as well and I really liked it Very funny and at the same time it teaches you a lesson : if you don't cherish all the moments you are living now and always live in the future you end up mising it all and you only hve regrets when the end arrives ...

I would not want to fast forward my life and miss out on everything in between. I would rather live my life one day at a time so I do not miss anything or get older quicker. We get old too quickly as it is and am in no hurry to be near the end. Some movies like this one can teach us very valuable lessons.

i am sure you would like to move forward to get yourself back in New Jersey where you belong. New Jersey is just waiting for you and your dad and I can hear the state calling your name. LOL Hopefully that will happen sooner than later as you have been down there long enough.

Interesting idea. I believe I will pass on the magic universal remote. Mr. Sandler can keep it for himself. While I do seem to have days that I struggle through it seems I fear growing up, even at forty (LOL), worse. Also I am a severe hypochondriac and I do not want to rush that dreadful illness I know I have waiting on me for tomorrow that I just do not know about yet.

I too would pass the remote. I would not want to move ahead in my life and miss out on many things. i would not want to get older any quicker than I am now. It is better to just deal with everyday experiences and problems than trying to skip or cheat by them.

i don't have a perfect life and i think noone else has. but i don't like the idea of fast forwarding anything about my life... or pausing some parts of it or skipping, too. i might have painful moments in my life but it's one good way to learn and be a better person. i found the movie funny, interesting and with moral values. but i will never want to have that remote control. hehe.

Glad that you saw this movie and enjoyed it as well. Life is going by fast enough to fast forward it anymore. I do not want to miss or skip any of the days ahead of me. Many of us probably would like to go back in time and change some things. Hope that you are doing well my dear friend and staying safe.

Life is too short to use the fast forward button. There will always be bad days, but there are good days too. Every day isn't entirely bad. There are moments of good in every thing bad. Huggers to you.

I feel alot like him sometimes and I wouldn't mind fast fowarding somethings in my life. I wouldn't want getting older that fast though. I still want to age as slowly as possible.

I saw that movie and ignoring that the remote control began to automatically fast forward, even when he didn't want it to, yes, I would want to fast forward my life. Right now, there is nothing going on. I'm not doing anything remotely (no pun intended) interesting. What I would love to do is fast forward about 2 years at which time, I should have graduated from college and see I could see where my life is then. The problem is I'd be worried that I'd miss out on various opportunities if I did fast forward.
