My in-laws live right next door to me, Im not close to my inlaws (mom inlaw and sis inlaw) we have so much differences in some ways. Im the one who cooked well my inlaws are not, me and my husband are very talkative person we do laugh out loud when we see funny things about my daughter but my inlaws are the quiete type my neighborhood thinks that they are really weired. Actually they stay at home the whole day without talking to us sometimes. Until now for 3 years of our marriage I dont know how to get along with my inlaws. They dont have social life too.

I don't live next door to my inlaws but we have had plenty of problems over the last 6 years. I have learned that they are who they are and I am who I am. My husband does not get along with my parents either. It is a crazy situation. It used to bother me ALOT but I have realized that as long and my husband and I are happy with the situation, then that is all that matters. You can only control so many situations and worrying about how your in-laws respond to everything is a lot of wasted time and energy. Good luck with everything.

you're very right, The important thing is my own family is happy, regardless of my inlaws attitude.

I never wanted to live with or near in-laws. This I made clear to my husband even before we got married. I don't want in-laws to meddle with my life. We don't live in the same town with them. We live in a city far away from them so I don't get to see or hear from them often.

Your in-laws sound weird to me, too. Did you ask your husband why they're acting that way? I could just imagine what a terrible life is if one lives close to weirdo in-laws.. Imagine, for three long years, they have acted indifferently to you and your family. Just simply ignore them and go on with your life. I am fortunate because my in-laws live in very far away lands. But I have a sis-in-law I really hate, but can't talk about it in detail. But she's from way out of town, so I don't consider her as a threat. My mom-in-law lives in Hawaii, and so are the rest of my sis-in-laws...Getting along with our in-laws can be tough especially if they live next door; it is even worse if they act differently from the rest of other people.
