Do you "cotton buds" your ears after taking a shower?

Is it or has it been a part of your routine to use cotton buds on your ears after shower?
I am just curious if this is just a habit of few, or something everyone does.
I am not comfortable when I do not use cotton buds on my ears, I feel like there's water floating inside my ears and I can hear it, and it is so uncomfortable.

Yeah, I use cotton buds to clean my ears but I don't do it after every shower. My boyfriend does, and so does my friend. I don't like doing it everyday. It kinda hurts for me.

I guess it differs with different people, in my case I don't feel comfortable not doing so after shower.

I think it's a routine,almost everyone I know uses cotton buds.What do you use instead of cotton buds,smints?the steel thing you get in the grooming set?

Well it is also a routine of mine to use cotton buds after shower. But I remember when we were younger, when we still do not cotton buds our ears, my mom has a wooden thing with feathery-cotton like thingy at the back, the one used to take off ear wax, and she would clean our ears at least thrice a week where we'll lay our head on her lap and she'll clean it for us.

this is a bad habit of mine, I used cotton buds on my ears yes and not only fater every shower in the morning but also every evening and when it feels itch,I always garb a cotton buds.It is bad I know and I ahve been brough to EENT for several ear infections, I was told not to use cotton buds too often and used "agua oxinada" to clean my ears but just can't get that habit off. :(

When I was in high school I clean my ears with cotton buds daily. However I heard that it isn't good to always clean the ears using cotton buds everyday. Because it will irritate the ears. And some residues might be left inside and it isn't healthy so I stopped doing it eceryday. I now clean my ears twice a week.

yes I do clean my ears after taking a shower. It has been a routing for me. Maybe every 2 days. It feels like I'm getting addicted to it. Lately it became a daily routine which I ended up going to the doctor because I wounded my ear canal. Oh well, try not to work on it so hard. haha
