Do you walk around a water puddle or through it????

Well, psychologically speaking, I guess it could tell a lot about a person, just watching them on a rainy day, trying to get across a puddle. But I don't know anything more about that, so let's just leave it at the fact, that I'm just curious to know...
For me, I guess it depends on what shoes I'm wearing, if it's sandals which I don't usually wear on rainy days, then I would definitely go around that puddle, but if I'm wearing sneakers or something like that, then that little puddle won't look that threatening and I'll be going right through it.
What about you?? Do you avoid puddles even if it means taking a long way around, or do you risk it and walk right through?

I think it also depends how deep the puddle is.. if its not that deep i will cross it no problem.. cause its just water and it will not kill us.. But if its really deep.. like to my ankles or something then i won't cause for one thing.. i don't want to get sick and also.. i don't want to get my shoes and pants wet.. unless i was wearing rainboots then i would cross with no problem.. :)

Depends on my mood as well as my shoes. For years I always just walked through or stepped over. Of course if the puddle is a mini lake, then I am likely to go around it.
It also however depends on the weather temp. It would also depend on where I am going, for instance if I am going to work I don't want to spend the day at work with wet feet, if I am dressed up nice going out same thing.
Other than that, and in fact when I was younger I have spent the entire day at school with wet feet because I just walked right through a puddle.
Now however it depends on my shoes, I don't walk through a puddle with sneakers usually because they never dry out until the next day and long after they are off my feet.
I do walk through a puddle with most types of sandals since they are open and less likely to keep my feet really wet and because of course if the weather is warm enough for sandals it is warm enough to dry my shoes/feet fairly quickly, unless of course as I stated above I am dressed up and going out somewhere nicer.
I also tend to walk in bare feet a lot so of course walking through a puddle was never a problem.
I avoid puddles in the winter time, because naturally when the puddle is coming from melted snow it is icy cold.

Unless i was wearing wellies with my trouers tucked in, in which case i'd probably jump in the puddle and splash around a bit, i'd always try to go round a puddle. It rains quite a lot in the UK, and had been doing so recently. There was a huge puddle the other day on the path so i actually stepped onto the road to walk around the puddle. It was very deep and i didn't fancy wet feet!

Around, I wouldn't want it to splash up and get my pants wet.

I usually walk through or even jump across it if not very wide and I can guarantee safe landing :) The only time when I would walk around if it looks too deep or too dirty and there's an easy way around it.. I always wear sports or walking shoes so I have no problem with that.
That doesn't mean that I'm the kind of person who likes challenges and aggressive in life but I'm just confident about what I can or can not do and don't hesitate to do things that I'm able to do and don't try to seek easier options all of the time :)

hey even if you are the kind of person that likes challenges, that's a good thing.
You're the first "jumper" I came across here. I totally forgot about that way, even though I've employed the same way to get across many times in my life.
And you're right, the easy way out is not fun, sometimes a little challenge like this and then conquering it can really make your day...

walk around it. I hate walking through. My shoes might not hold water. I dont like it. I dont want to get wet. So yes I walk around it best I can or walk in a shallow version of it instead if I gotta.

I don't WALK around or through a puddle, I JUMP in them, LOL. I love acting like a kid when it comes to that. Although now that I am getting older I have to make sure there is no mud under the puddle. Just last week I almost biffed it running through one on the way to take my daughter to her bus stop. She thought it was funny, but my back didn't.
I don't even own an umbrella so I guess that would tell the psychologist a lot about me lol.

I am having fun walking through puddles. Mostly I wear sneakers or boots. I do not get wet feet when it rains. I am having fun just walking through puddles and I smile when I see ladies with fancy shoes trying to avoid puddles. I am outdoors a lot walking my dogs in any weather.

I like to wear rubber boots when there are puddles just so that I can jump right into them without having to worry about my shoes or having wet feet! I probably look like a dork splashing around, but I'm not about to stop just because of that. After all, there is no reason not to enjoy the little things in life, so it is worth taking pleasure and fun where you can find it.

In the rainy season it depends on my mood which will decide to walk around a water poodle or through it. To walk through the poodle during the rainy season , i can't explain the feeling comes when one forces its way through it and it should be raining heavily i generally love to do that during the rainy season an enjoy every bit of it ,u cannot do that in any other season

Hey vega, firstly congrats on breaking the 1000 post mark!!! As far as navigating puddles go, we seem to have similar tastes! It depends totally on what footwear I'm wearing! I really hate getting water into my shoes. My toes don't take kindly to rain water, so I hardly venture out wearing slippers or sandals. If I'm wearing shoes that are not water proof, I go to all lengths to avoid getting my feet wet, else I just plow through them!

Well, I'm silly and sometimes a bit childish and immature. So of course I will walk through the puddble. If I am wearing shoes then fine, if I am wearing boots then even better because I will thump my feet down and make splashes, yes like a kid. If I'm wearing sandels... that would be iffey, I guess it depends on if the puddle had garbage in it or not.
