Mylot motivation

How do you stay motivated to post [and reply] at mylot?? I posted constantly for 2 months and then fell off the bandwagon and I can't seem to get back on. I'm finding it very strange as I did enjoy getting to know people and talking about things that i am interested in. I have all my "friends" discussions delievered straight to my inbox [where they are stuck into a folder and ignored] and I have received payment twice ... but even the money incentive does not motivate me anymore. So ... does anyone have any helpful tips on getting motivated again about mylot.

Ahhh! Writers block! The curse of all authors. haha My advice, for what its worth, is to be very selective in the topics you reply to. That does mean a lot of sifting through pages of topics but that is best for me. My other time is spent writing to my referrals to say welcome and to offer advice on how to optimize myLot.

I think the only thing that can motivate you here is the posts' quality. If you get to read and post good stuff and receive and give good replies, then this remains interesting. If it all gets reduced to filling lines in order to get paid, you're honestly wasting your time, because the money is little. I used to mylot constantly too, but now i normally spend way less time here, and post 10 messages maximum daily, so that it doesn't get too much. And if i don't post for a couple days, or even a week, it's fine anyway.

well, we all go through this and my solution for it is to tae a break for as long as you need. Mylot is not going anywere so take a break and come back when u are ready again. If u are not motivated enough the chanses are that u will just be frustrated and that will make u post just bad discussions. I had a break for a week not long ago and i came back stronger and with more ideas and i actuallt missed mylot and the people here =)

Well hello stranger - I've not been as active as I was in the begining either and have noticed not seeing you much at all. I do read all my friend's discussions but have been picking a choosing what I respond to on most days - I was just spending way too much time here and not getting other things done. As for motivation I'm afraid I'm not much help there - I've just accepted my choice to not be so active but do still enjoy what time I am here and staying in touch with friends.

I must admit, I have also found it hard to be mylot motivated. Mainly because I have other commitments that are more important at the moment. Maybe it is better to have a little break from posting, then when you return you are fully refreshed and inspired by more things

Even though I'm VERY new here (started a day or so ago), I've worried about this happening. So, I thought I'd set up a notebook with some discussions I'd like to start to keep things going. I'm a blog addict already and the discussions here are very similar to what I was writing about and responding to over on livejournal.com . . . only here, there's payment incentive. I know it isn't much, but it's a little boost to keep me going for now. And, as far as the notebook goes, it's filling with ideas for other writing projects incase writer's block creeps it's way into other areas of my life. I enjoy beating it off with a stick and, in this case, the stick is my pencil.

I just started a discussion about this! Basically, I think the best way to stay motivated at Mylot is probably to think about the rewards that aren't financial. The money is great, but the best things are the feeling you get from helping somebody who wants advice or information, or from learning something new or reading an opinion that you never would have thought of. The more you can remember those sides of MyLot, the more you'll want to post, I bet!

i think there is no perfect routine for me. if I investigate into the reasons, it may be the interesting discussions are drawing my interest. When i truly feel like asking, then I can ask question here.I eagerly wait for the answers here.

Because of my constant movement I can't be active as much as I wish to. When I am with my computer I make a point to post, get response and respond to others. But there are times I feel demoralized when my rating suddenly goes down. The only consolation is when I open up my email box and find my friends posts and the urge to respond open up my way to mylot again.

erm.. i think in order to stay motivated here.. you shouldn't think much whether you're getting an earning from what you're posting or not.. erm.. recently.. i didn't post as much as i did before.. and i almost nearly stop posting ... because i'm having my final exam.. and i think it's really difficult to cope with both.. but now i think.. if i stop posting.. i not just stop getting earning.. but i'll lose my friends.. my precious friends.. and i really hope to find a good penpal here...i think i get to learn alot from here.. and i wont' stop this until mylot says so =)

actually im not motivated on what will i earn on mylot. I just love posting my opinions here. The topics are so cool and i really enjoy it. Im just here about a week and i think i will continue making post not just for money but for fun too. The incentives are great way to motivate but it will just come to you, its just a bonus that my lot gives to all of us who participated on this program. This website has a lot of potential and i believe it would still grow. It has good concept and it brings friendship to every users of this site.

Likewise, I have lost my motivation. I have been reading from other mylotters that they earn a few payouts when they reached my number of posts. I am just near the half mark. So discouraging. So, I just come to mylot once a day and write a few things daily that's all. Unlike before, I spent most of my waking hours replying to posts and thinking of what are the topics i can post or search. See... you're at 584 and receive payment twice. I don't even get anywhere near half mark.

As you can see I am not a high user. I really still don't understand how the system works. I feel I have stayed at the same amount and numbers for a long period of time. That is one reason why I stopped posting and answering discussions. I just started to feel like I was wasting my time. So, if you get answers on how to stay motivated (I will be reading them too). Hope you don't mind!!! :o)

Well that has happened to me too many times recently. I think to myself about how I can always get a good friendly laugh or wise advice from mylot. The debate topics are also always so interesting to read. To post or reply, I usually trust my first and second thoughts which usually suffice on mylot.
