I'm not really too keen on recent Filipino musical acts, whose musical ensembles consist almost entirely of covers and/or generic songs of emotional pain. I especially cannot stand cover songs. It seems that that's all they do these days. It makes me wonder whether they acquire the licenses from the original artists at all. Whenever I try listening to the radio I get cover songs, one after another. I do have bands that I like but everyone has mentioned them. Rivermaya (the old Rivermaya), Eraserheads, and the rest of the old bunch are the only Filipino acts that I can listen to.
