We are celebrating many 'day' like mothers day, fathers day, womens day etc. But we, wife are deprived from husbands in many ways, so why there is no day for 'wife day'? Is ther any chance to celebrate 'wife day' for deprived wives all over the world or in this world where male is dominating will not come any day as 'wife day'. I think if all women in the world if can raise a demand for 'wife day' the day will come - have you opinion about this 'wife day'?

Honestly I think there are way to many of those days. The only real reason they were created was for the greeting cards and flower companies. I didn't even know there was a woman's day, but couldn't wife's day be covered under that one? I'm not married, but if I was, I don't think I would feel the need for my husband to give me special attention of a wife's day. That's what anniversaries are for, and Valentine's day as well.

Thanks Kythe-There is a day called 'International Women's day' which celebrate in many countris together. valentine day is for all married and unmarried. As you are unmarried you will not imagine the need of wife day - there are many wife in this world are getting tortured by husband, neglecting by husband, cheating by husband but their wife cannot say anything due to many reasons and due to affection of children.

I know that sometimes horrible things happen to wives. I had an abusive father and he treated my mother and I both very badly. It was mostly verbal abuse, but he hit us sometimes. I really don't think making a special wife's day would make any of that better. If the man is a bad enough person to treat someone like that to begin with, then a special day probably won't change anything.

Well, I will vote for that. I don't mind having a wife day at all. But, I think mother's day is sort of a wife day in a way.
